It’s clean enough but it’s definitely the worst comfort inn we’ve stayed at. The air/heat in the room has no setting for the fan to run constantly which was super uncomfortable. The bathroom looked dingy and the front desk staff was not on top of it. Don’t stay here.

Decent hotel for the price. Has breakfast, beds are on the firm side, lots of pillows. There is a fitness center accessible. Shower was hot and water pressure was great. Had a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee machine in the room. Walked across the street to Walgreens so it was nice to have that right there if you forget anything.

This was the absolute WORST hotel stay experience I have EVER had in my life, which is saying a lot because I am well-travelled. We travelled to Kalamazoo from near Detroit so that my elderly 79-year old mother could visit with her convalescent sister who is in a nursing home. We chose this hotel because it was close by. We understood it was under construction, no problem. We reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights. 1st issue: toilet didn't flush in 1 of the rooms. Resolved quickly enough. 2)the elevator stopped working. We had to move all our belongings from the 3rd to the 1st floor. No assistance offered. 3)We finally got settled in to room #2, only to be awakened at 1am by pervasive cigarette smoke to which I am allergic. 3) Had to move to room #3,1am in the morning, no assistance. The next morning, we went to the front desk to ask to be accommodated for our trouble. We thought it to be reasonable to ask to be compensated for the 1-nights stay and we pay for the remaining 2 nights. We were told that was not possible. We said we could not stay at an establishment that showed no contrition for all we had been through in the last 18 hours while there. Management said they could only charge us for the 1 night and refund us the next 2 nights and let us go. Not understanding the logic, we explained that we only wanted to be refunded the 1 night for our trouble and we would pay the other 2 nights. We didn't want to pack up our things for a 4th time, relocate to a new hotel, and move in the pouring rain. Management said refunding the next 2 nights was all they could do. They said they tried to accommodate us by giving us 3 different rooms, as if WE did something wrong to warrant 3 moves in 1 night!! By this time it is 10:40am, we were told we should be out by the 11am checkout time. 20 minutes to pack up 2 rooms, my elderly mother, reserve a new hotel & it pouring rain. We had nowhere we could go until we could check in at the new hotel at 3pm. Again, by far, THE ABSOLUTE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! I have NEVER been treated with so much disregard and callousness for my time, money, and patronage, all at the same time. NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Stay away from this Hotel! I booked 3 days with this Hotel, my Dad had a medical emergency and they refused to work with me in any way! I just wanted to adjust my dates by 2 days, and NO they would not work with me whatsoever! No refund, no adjustment to dates, I couldn’t fly into Kalamazoo until 2 days later so that I could help my Dad with a surgery. Nope! Not working with me in anyway! Not to mention you can understand the people you’re talking to on the phone.Very Very Poor Management! I talked to the Manager! Jerk!

Place was disgusting. The minute I walked into lobby to check in it reeked of weed/pot. Like walking into a wall of pollution. The clerk could have cared less about this or his job, was unfriendly and aloof. The lobby had some people on couches that looked like they slept there and were completely disheveled. The lobby floors, carpeted hallways and stairs were nasty, stained, and probably had science projects growing, gross. The bed mattresses were concaved in the center of each bed. You can hear all the car racing all night outside clear past midnight if you don't have a sound maker to drown the noise out. Windows and building are not well built to insulate normal everyday noises. Parking lot is tiny and if you are towing anything, you will not be able to park here. No exaggerations here in this review. Stay and find out the hard way. Do yourself a favor and stay closer to the highway hotels.

If you love hot showers, dont come here! There was no towl racc, I did like how there was a thermostat on the wall. The ac worked well, and the beds were comfortable, but I did t like how dirty the floor stains and bathroom door were. If you want something cheap, then this is your place. A case of you get what you pay for sure. Transients like to sleep and beg in the parking lot. Hotel doesn't seem to mind

Pros: the hotel is in a good location and we were given an accessible room which had a lot of space.Cons: the lobby was completely torn up under construction. I get wanting to improve the space but we were given no notice over email that things would be torn up. Also our room smelled like pot during the night, not ideal for two kids under three.Do yourselves a favor and stay closer to the highway next time.

This place is an absolute joke. Idk if it's corporate owned or private but if it's corporate, they need to head down here asap. Trash EVERYWHERE throughout the building. The halls and rooms stink. We booked 2 rooms. One had used towels in the bathroom. The other room, someone put a plastic bag over the fire alarm so they could smoke. The while room stunk of smoke. They said they knew nothing of it.. so did they not even clean our room then? I wonder cause one of the beds were all wrinkled. There was an exposed wire sticking out the wall. Then in the morning, I woke up to the entire bathroom flooded in water as it was leaking from the ceiling. We went and expressed all the issues and he acted like his boss was on vacation and there was nothing he could do. No comp, no refund. Just lies. We never got any sort of email back. They also double charged the card...What a joke. Stay clear of this place.

This place is a disaster. We are non smokers and our room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. We were also placed in a handicapped room. Upon check out we were informed that ALL handicapped rooms stink! Avoid this place by all means!!

Cockroaches, that's all you need to know. Family tried staying there but found cockroaches. They ended up leaving. They are still fighting for a refund. Seriously, cockroaches. Gross

Where should I start? Before you walk in. Parking lot is tiny. Homeless people and crackheads all over outside. Front desk and entire hotel is run by Indians (dot, not casino) who barely understand English. Pest Control person was right there at the front desk as I arrived, good feeling as I check into a hotel. Wi-Fi only works occasionally, typing this from my phone as tablet, laptop, and fire stick won't connect. Rooms are never well cleaned. Arrived at my room. Food left in refrigerator, bathroom light only has one bulb working, mirror filthy, carpet dingy, missing desk chair, curtains have mold. Bring all these concerns to the front desk, they say they have no other rooms available, they replace the missing desk chair with a chair from the powdered egg and stale bagel breakfast area.Pathetic place to stay. Only staying here because company booked it. They won't be booking it again.

My husband and I stayed here from Illinois over the weekend for an out-of-town wedding. Was nervous due to some of the less-than-stellar reviews, but I am a dare devil and decided to live on the edge end take a chance! The hotel shares property with a different hotel, so at first it can be confusing to try to find Comfort inn, but not terrible. If anything just stop at the other hotel and ask for directions. Once on site, I was greeted promptly by one of the women at the front desk. She was friendly and explained the policies and charges on paper. The charges were no different from when I had booked ahead of time. She explained the holding fee for the security deposit that will be reversed once the stat is over - this is pretty standardFor any lodging service. We checked in to our room, and it was clean and had no bed bugs and the temperature in the room is perfect. I was disappointed to find out the computer in their "business center" was not working. I went to take a shower and the water started rising up to my ankles. I did alert the front desk and within minutes, two men came to resolve the issue. They were very friendly and didn't seem bothered to assist. The TV in the room does not work. Not that I care to watch tv, but it's nice to have some background noise when getting ready. I don't want to be "that person" and call them again to fix something, so we will move on. The beds are fine. I have slept in worse, like an IKEA bed and this is definitely much better. Overall, the hotel was quiet. There were a lot of young kiddos here this weekend who were running around screaming but that stopped by 11pm. Breakfast is grab and go, due to Covid. But i think it's really nice that they have anything at all. Overall, I would stay here or somewhere similar again if I needed to for a quick trip/over night. It is half the cost of the surrounding competitors. The people who work here are very friendly and do not mind helping. Do you get what you pay for? Sure. But I don't mind a smaller room and outdated bathroom fixtures for 50% less of a cost than the other guys. Thank you for the accommodations, Comfort Inn.
