Edit: I am coming back to add more to this review after trying more of my meat. Everything is so good. The deer dawgs, the brats, snack sticks, jerky, sausage, salami. Even the burger isn’t offensive. Exceptional. You’d never know it was venison. Anybody who’s related to him must be lucky lol.Original review:I brought in the first deer I've ever got and didn't really know the 'drill' on these types of things but I was taken aback at how friendly and helpful Chester was. They gave me an "A" on my field dressing and said it was better than most they see. Chester did a great job helping me get my harvest entered into the state database and then walk me through his process. He also took a lot of time to answer my questions when I had called to pick up my meat. When I picked up my meat, the front staff was also extremely friendly. It was a great experience, the jerky and snack sticks are phenomenal, and pricing seems fair for what I get (I got the Hunter's Bundle, highly recommend). Bonus that everything comes vacuum-sealed with the net weight labeled. I brought in a 106 lb doe and got 46 pounds of meat back. Would recommend to anybody.

This place is great! Super friendly customer service and quick turn around on their processing. I’m a first time customer and I will definitely be back! They were very helpful and informative! Highly recommend!

Had my hogs butchered at Chester’s. Taste is great !! Bacon is so thin it pulls apart into pieces. Some packs of pork were perfect size for my family as i order . About half is packed twice the weight they should be . Ive never seen bacon so thin !

Prompt and friendly service, but the product is worth more than 5 stars. Jerky, Brats, Snack sticks and Sausage! Not only does he post his team working on individual deer to show you get your animal, the taste of the end product is top shelf. The only place I would recommend and use.Thank you to Chester and his team.

While the building is cute and staff friendly, I won't recommend nor will ever use them again for processing deer. I dropped off my deer for basic processing and on picking up the meat received barely 1/4 of the field dressed weight. Both my experience and scientific data show that boneless meat should be half the dressed weight or more.This appallingly low result can, in my opinion, only be due to one of two things:A) The butchering was done extremely poorly (either due to it being a sloppy rush job, or hiring incompetent workers),or B) They are keeping the difference in meat to sell at their store.Either way, for $135 to get not even half the expected amount of meat, it's little more than robbery. I could have honestly got more meat using a weed wacker and a bucket.

My husband made the trip to Chester's to have his deer processed. It was kind of pricey for the specialty sausages and jerky etc but he said it's the best he has had so worth the money. Wish there was a way to pick up the ground and specialty at the same time as we live over an hour away. Overall good experience.

Pretty reasonable place to get your meet processed . Also sells some other wild animal meets right up front in the store. Very nice people .

I’m not one who typically leaves reviews, but these guys were great. I’ve never taken a deer in Michigan before so was a bit unsure what to expect. They were super friendly, fast and efficient. Turned my back straps and loins in under 24 hours and the specialty cuts will be ready in a couple weeks. I’ll definitely be using them again when I’m back next year.
