I recently opened an account with this establishment, mainly because it was close to my residence. Within a short period of time, monies that were sent to this business didn't seem to be as they should have been! Shortly after opening this account, several hundreds of dollars began disappearing from my Social Security payments, which had never happened to me in the many years I have been receiving monies from Social Security. I did have to change several accounts and get new cards. I have been reimbursed by Social Security for some of the monies, but hundreds have not been refunded. One can surely see that someone at Advia was responsible for not protecting my confidential information.CAUTION!

I never had an experience with Advia until yesterday. I needed to break a $100.00 bill to go purchase a dresser for my son from someone off of marketplace. After I finished my lunch across the street I figure what better place to go than a bank! I stopped in Advia and was denied service (breaking a $100.00 bill at a bank) because I do not have an account there. That kind of service is completely appalling and absurd. The gentlemen at the counter was polite and very kind. You could tell he felt incredibly uncomfortable upholding this policy Advia has in place. Advia is now somewhere I would not consider bringing over my personal or business account to.

Bank is convenient but I advise everyone to watch your account when making transactions for a few days before making other purchases. Sometimes this bank will take funds but leave transaction as pending until a later date then charge again. Other times they will just hold all of your transactions into pending status until a certain date and then move around any money transfers in hopes of you over drafting so they can collect fees. An example would be that I transferred 50 dollars to Venmo. Venmo was deducted from my available balance. Two days later I transferred money from my savings account to use it for a Lyft and food. The next day my transactions were switched and I was over draft for Venmo for insufficient funds. Both bank and Venmo and this bank both blamed each other for not releasing funds on the date the transactions were made. It's an accounting scheme that's used to ensure banks can obtain funds so just be aware.

Even if you’ve been a member for years… cashing your check is up to their “discretion”.I cashed a government issued military check at a different location with no problem after being turned away at this location due to not fitting their “algorithm”. 2 weeks later I returned to this same location with a different state issued check and was being turned away once again because of my check cashing history and “algorithm”When I asked what history? She could not answer. When I asked if she could see the couple thousand dollar check I cashed 2 weeks prior she had no straight answer. After questioning this lame excuse I was given she proceeded to cash my check.Discretionary or discriminatory? Just go somewhere else.

getting a loan to this bank very easy process love it everyone was nice fairly simple to do came back for a second and a third loan. Ending a loan with this credit union has been the worst experience with a bank that I’ve ever had. It is taking me three weeks of playing phone and email tag with a loan representative here to get a 10 day payoff notice that the sellers bank will except. After telling the loan representative at Advia that I needed a document not a screenshot I’ve spent three weeks receiving more and more screenshots and her refusing to answer my phone calls to try to get the situation straightened out. The situation has been so much fun the seller has decided to walk away and leave me with the car. Love this bank till I tried to end the loan with it and now they won’t seem to let me

Makenzie is a new teller there that has quickly become my favorite. She is always quick with my transactions and has great customer service.

Someone hacked into my account and overdrew my checking by over $1400, and not only has it been nearly been the entire 90 days I was told it could take to resolve all of the fraudulent charges on my account, but Advia decided to lock my account because I was unable to pay my personal loan due to NO fault of my own, because my account is STILL at a negative balance nearly 3 months later. My family has been banking with Advia for over 30 years and never has anything like this been an issue before. So I will be finding a new Credit Union.

They are always super friendly but I always seem to be waiting even when there’s no one in drive thru and only one person in the building and 3 people working. Something should change to make it more efficient for people that don’t have the extra free time and still have bills that need to be paid.

Advia bank is HORRIBLE! They will shut your card down without any notice. Their system & ATM's ALWAYS have issues. In store & online transactions get declined because of this so embarrassing. Im pretty sure their phone app runs off of windows 95. Bank is pathetic.

The ATM on West Main in Kalamazoo...never EVER works! It's always 'out of service'. Doesn't make any sense!

SO slow. 2 drive thru lanes closed, 2 open and nobody in the parking lot. Waited over 15 minutes to drop a deposit off. Absolutely insane.

The staff is very friendly, they just lack knowledge of their duties. I provided them with my physical ID and they mis spelled my name on my account. When I changed my name I made it clear it would need to be applied to all accounts, but they failed to send me a new debit and credit card. On top of that.... they are the WRONG name. What are the requirements to work here? Let's raise our standards.

I guess the bank is not for some that looks like me. I have been banking with them for about 3 year and has a stable high paying job. The have denied me everything, even credit card for no genuine reason.
