I lived there for one year and I must say this rating should be little higher . Management is absolutely good at communication and so fast at maintenance. Currently I have to transfer my lease and shift somewhere because of change of university . Fair price for student and I felt very safe throughout my stay . Thank you 58 west to make my stay easier when I was absolute new to USA.

I am about to start my lease here and these guys have NO idea what they are doing. Id rather live in a trailer than deal with these guys again. If you live there and are trying to transfer to a new apartment, they will keep sending people there and waking you up. They will make it incredibly difficult to pick your keys up. They have given me multiple move-in dates. They are currently refusing to let me move into my apartment but my roommate is already there— and they are still expecting a full months rent. They do not talk to eachother. Getting my lease set up here has been a nightmare and I truly hope there is a change in management. Whoever is in charge is a slumlord

I leased for two years at 58. First year wasn’t bad because I was paying $360 a month but this past year was pretty bad. Rent shot up after new management and I had a new roommate who was NOT a student and had a 3-4 year old kid and dog. 58 never contacted me about this and when I said something management basically told me to screw off. Pretty sketchy situation that left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Office workers are nice but management is mean. Never felt fully safe and always stayed on my toes coming in and out of the apartment. If you’re a college student in kzoo DO NOT lease with 58. Lots of other options for a few bucks more and safer complexes.

FIVE STARS. We had a roommate that wouldn't pay utilities/electric and 58 west covered us. Stellar service, responding to maintenence requests in a timely fashion. I would room with them again if I wasn't moving! Gr8 service.

Other reviews are FAKE. Before you read the others. Keep in mind they give incentives for 5 star reviews. High chance all positive ones are fake. This is the lowest of the low places you will find nationwide. From illegal activities on the complex to low character management to pathetic broken amenities. I strongly suggest going in the opposite direction. If you’re a parent, get ready for the worst living situation possible for your child. If you’re a tenant, prepare for a new headache each week and an empty building with a deposit box and a poor mannered dismissal voice box. My daughter will never set foot again on this complex and I encourage the same for any parent. Look at the other reviews, where there is smoke, there is a Chicago fire of 1871. Whatever response is said to this. Do not believe. No written/constructed response their team can come up with will cover this disaster of an experience I and others have gone through. Please, read the other reviews and take extreme caution before making potentially the most strenuous, dangerous, and financially risky decision you will make.

I am a current resident and have been for a year. Not only has my apartment met expectations, but the staff at 58 W. go above and beyond. I lost something at the 58 W. gym, and not only is the community here safe enough to where it wasn’t stolen, but when I called the leasing office and asked if anybody had turned it in, the young man working that day took it upon himself to go look for it when it hadn’t been turned it and saw it safely returned to me. Great, personable experience here.

I have had a lot of problems with my apartment since my move in date, and the new manager of this place was extremely understanding and helpful with addressing all of my concerns. They helped provide me alternatives and suggestions to immediately make the situation better.

I have stayed here only for one month - May 2023. Apartment , Kitchen and bedroom very congested. Before I sign the lease I requested to show the room and apartment once, but they said as per policy they shouldn’t show the room and apartment ( If they show before lease sign no one take after seeing the apartment condition that’s why not showing I think) Initially they have allocated one bedroom, that apartment not clean , liquor bottles in kitchen and corridor smells very bad (I think smoke of weed). Next day I requested to cancel the lease because of the apartment condition, circumstances as well , but they didn’t even agreed for that and changed apartment, I was not ok for that but I don’t have any option at that time. Whatever I requested they said not comes under their policies. How all Home policies benifit to leasing property not a single benifit for client who is ready to live there. When I was looking for sublease also , staff one lady not at all helping me. If I have a chance to give 0 rating I would have given that. I personally don’t recommend to anyone. Below picture shows the entire space of each bedroom, Queen size bed itself not fit in that space.
They have increased room rent and sublease lease fee as well. That amount not at all worth it for this apartment and community
I have seen the comment of 58 west just now, please don’t share false information. Your team not assisted me to find sub lease , I myself found multiple people but you have rejected most of them on various reasons, finally I found one guy with your requirements on my own cost.
Even if you mention about size of unit and virtual tour, it won’t help most of the people to understand how room will be. Once they see directly then only they will understand how room actually looks.

I had a guest stay for a few days and the new property manager told me that my guest had to leave. i communicated with the her he was locked out and needed to gbe let in so he could get his stuff along with the rest of my stuff I needed to move into my new unit. Instea, she locked it denying me or him entranc. This is shady business and pretty typical of 58 West. When I first moved here, I couldn't move in to the unit they assign me because not only the key didn't work, but there was a girl living in his my roommates room. She stayed there for three months before she was told she had to leave. The. Talk about a double standard break their own rules all the time. I,personal wouldn't waste my time moving here. They are dirty.

An amazing complex to live at. I have been living at 58 West for 2 years now and it’s super lovely and safe. The new management is easily 5 stars ⭐️. They are very very helpful and responsive to the needs of the tenants. New and constant improvements are happening and I’m very proud of it. Highly recommended specially for the upcoming years. Always having giveaways and very generous gifts. Great job!!!

Overall a good place, I’ve been here for over 6 months now and I’m glad I chose 58 west because the affordable rent and only having to pay for utilities on top is great.
Specifically, I want to say the service crew is great and incredibly timely, at least for me, our oven broke and was fixed within 2 days of it happening and it was fixed in less than 2 hours! Very efficient and quick at diagnosing what’s wrong.
My only complaint is that the router for the internet is located in a horrible spot if you want to have good connectivity so if you stream or work from home or anything similar, you would want to figure something out for that. There also is only 1 Ethernet CAT 6 port in the living room and the bedrooms have a port of some cable I don’t know.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! THEY HAVE COACHROACHES!!!! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE MANANGEMENT!!!! HAD TO GO TO WORK AND NOT EVEN SALTED THE DRIVE AT 11AM SO AND SLID ALL OVER!!! 0 OUT OF 10... WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MOVE HERE
