The inspection of my drivetrain seemed to be very thorough and complete. It was completely different from another repair facility that I've trusted for years though. So that makes me wonder about the accuracy of the previous diagnosis. Or maybe they just didn't go into all of the details and explain ALL of the problems to me. Specifically referring to the ujoints which weren't even mentioned. They did point out one of the tires that was cupping. This was supposedly due to the problem with the drivetrain. But I didn't really understand how it could only affect one tire.
They were also about $500 more expensive then the other place I've been using for all of my car repairs.
However, I think they know what they're doing. But I'm not sure if I would use them for major repairs until I can trust them completely.
As far as this review goes. It's obvious by the separate links that they don't want any negative comments posted. However, you can't give both separately. You can either click on the link that is connected with the Google review, or the link that tells Ultimate where they can improve. You can't do both. So I had to mention it here in order to give an honest review.
Update:
I have since had my wheel bearing replaced by Ultimate. It cost about $600. December 2025.
Everyone I've spoken with has been very helpful and professional. I've received text messages regarding my appointment and was able to communicate with them when I was running late.
The work was top notch and only took about 3 hours compared to the 2 day estimate from my other mechanic. Probably because he would have had to send out the bearing to get pressed out.
All in all I'm very satisfied. They even took time to show me the old bearing to confirm the excessive wear.
I plan to use them again when the need arises. And I would recommend them for any of your automotive repair needs.
Plus they have a really cool coffee machine in the waiting area. It has Latte and several other versions of coffee. And, it's pretty good coffee!
