Times are tough these days for a lot of families, when you don't have the money for your bill what are you supposed to do? My bill was past due a couple weeks ago, the Manger at this location sent his men to my residence. I believe this is standard procedure for them when a customer is past due, but what happened next shouldn't be standard procedure.My wife and I didn't have the money on this particular day. I was nice and cordial with the two drivers, but they felt it necessary to call their manager. I believe his name is Josh, the manager at the Argyle location in Jackson. I was nice and cordial with him as well, but he claimed I was being sarcastic like he knew me for years and could tell this about me over the phone very arrogantly, then he made a threat saying if I didn't pay on that day he would go the "legal" route and take me to court. I told the gentleman that my family had two options that week when the bill was due: pay our electric bill to keep the lights on, or pay our Rent-A-Center bill. This manager said on one hand he cares about his customers, but told me I failed on my list of properties and essentially that I needed to get my affairs in order to pay my bills on time and that it wasn't his problem, all he cared is that I pay the bill.After this interaction with this man, a few minutes after the drivers left in their truck, my wife calls and speaks with this manager. He cooled his jets and remembered miraculously that the customer is always right, the proper customer service attitude, and said we could come in and pay on Monday. We did so, and he even took less than what our bill was to pay off a few of our items on our account. All of that could have been avoided if Josh, the manager, could have just been a bit more understanding. I appreciate what Josh did for us on that Monday, but this 1 star review has everything to do with his customer service.The take away here is, just don't go to the Argle location in Jackson, MI. This was just my experience with them. Others might have had better experiences with this location, especially those that never get behind on their bill. They love people who pay their bill on time, which is understandable, but it wouldn't hurt if the manager at least pretended to care about his customers financial situations.

I absolutely love this place and the online store is amazing it has literally everything you want and need and they have great deals n are willing to work with you on your payments which are super cheap and flexible. The staff is nice and helpful and their merchandise is always top of the line and delivered within 2 days tops. I wouldn’t choose anywhere else ever again and I tell anyone n everyone the same to try RAC bc u will nvr leave or look back again once u do.
