Jackson Self Storage DOES NOT have competitive pricing (to the woman in the reviews who mentioned that). There is a month to month agreement but this company lacks an arrangement on the basis of proportional distribution when it comes to a refund with your final bill. Most facilities do this. This facility DOES NOT.So for example, if you paid for a $95 unit on the 1st of the month you would be charged, again, $95 after renting one entire month (That's $190 in the span of 28-31 days for a 10X15 unit). If you want to abandon the unit a couple days after your first month, let's say on your 33rd day, you would get no reimbursement for the remainder of the second month you already paid in advance. (YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR A FULL TWO MONTHS RENT FOR OCCUPYING A UNIT FOR 33 DAYS) In order to get your money's worth you would have to keep the storage til the end of the second month even if their services will be no use to you. You will have to cancel before your 2ND month anniversary (bill date) or you'll be charged for 3 MONTHS.I just wanted to make that clear, they DO NOT have competitive pricing. At all.Other than that I was told many lies by one of their associates over the phone, desperately in need to sell me a unit just so I could sign the terms and agreement and be charged which would lock me into the contract with no chance of a refund.She told me this place had Key-Pad entry which it DOES NOT. It has a keypad at the Gate but the Gate's ALWAYS OPEN to absolutely anyone. (you'd figure a 24 hour storage facility wouldn't work like this). I was told the owner opens and shuts it as he pleases. I'm not even sure if them having cameras was true or not because the same lady told me that.I was told the units had their own individual interior lighting and they DO NOT (just exterior motion sensor lighting).The day I first paid for the unit the woman told me she would call me back but never did so I had to call them the next day myself, so basically I never got to move in on the day I was charged.I had rose a complaint but of course "she was too new to know any better."The exterior of the property is clean but inside a unit, there was no insulation to separate your storage from others. If the people beside/behind you have food in their unit or they're just plane nasty you can easily get PESTS so I wouldn't recommend this place for storing any furniture or personal belongings because there's no telling who will be your neighbor.All in all the grounds are subpar, the service was abysmal and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in their right mind. The owner is quite the joker also, I spoke to him over the phone and he sounded like a few drinks hit him. There are better facilities in Jackson, Michigan I'm sure of it.

Great experience renting from Jackson Self Storage. The units are new and very nice. The process to rent was made very easy buy the nice women in the office. I would highly recommend Jackson Self Storage.

Couple of months in and I've never seen the security gate closed...also the website is down a lot. Can't pay my bill if I can't access the website. I suppose I'll call during a weekday since the office is closed on weekends.
