If I could give -5 stars I would, but thank God I don’t bank at Flagstar and today proves just why I bank with an EXCELLENT BANK WITH AMAZING TELLERS! I have always been able to put money in an account for friends/family with no problem, today as I have done 3 or 4 time put money into my aunt’s account who now lives out of state. One particular teller name RILEY has a very nasty and condescending attitude, she’s fully aware of the situation and knew I was coming on several occasions, I make sure to reiterate I don’t want account info but confirming said amount to deposit of course the amount that was quoted changed not to mention when confronted RILEY LIES and changes the conversation that was had after the transaction is complete, like today you know very well with every transaction a receipt of payment should be given, but allows to my aunt, I didn’t want it. Reading others review I see why this bank has 3 stars and I hope corporate office sees this and takes necessary steps for each employee to do better with customer service. THANKS RILEY YOUR AMAZING…. NOT!!

Modern day racism, should I be surprised? With the histories of banks and their records of being discriminatory, you would hope that banks like flagstar would pave the way to do the right thing. Unfortunately, that was not my experience today, on 3/16 when I experienced clear racism. After loosing my mother over a decade ago, I learned that I was a beneficiary to a lump some of money. I was excited to bank with flagstar and keep my money safe. Admittingly I was new to this realm, and flagstar wanted extra verification. Under an immense amount of stress, I decided to bank with another bank. After that experience with the other bank failed, I returned realizing that flagstar was the better choice. Despite my excitement, I was met with a teller who claimed that my original check was fraudulent. Not because he had proof, but because he “felt like it” And “No one gets that big of a check from TN.” I wonder, did you mean “No one” or did you just not expect a young black girl to get this much? What about me made you think I was breaking laws? Was it my work outfit? My black skin? My timidness? Maybe I wouldn’t have been so shy if you made me feel welcome. You all should be ashamed.UPDATE: As of today they reached out to me and nothing was resolved! They didn’t disclose to me as to why they couldn’t open an account with me and the president actually said “just like you can choose any bank to go to, we can choose who to disclose information to” like huh? Over it don’t bank here unless you are ready to be discriminated against and let down! Overall a waste of time… They just wanted to pretend like they were resolving my issue! This is just an attempt to avoid a lawsuit!

Had an issue with my checking account and spoke to Brooke at the West Ave location on 7/12/22. She offered excellent customer service and spoke to her manager about resolving the issue. The manager and Brooke worked very hard to resolve the issue I had on my account. I highly recommend Flagstar Bank particularly the one at the West Ave location and I'm so appreciative of their hard work and dedication to their customers!

I was miss lead when I opened the account the lady asked me how I heard about flag star I told her about the flier I received about opening up an account and receive 250:00 but she didn’t ask for the flier and she didn’t apply it either she tricked me me into believing that she was going to do it .

They have claimed the last two months of my mortgage payments have not gone through, but I look on my recent activity for my account and shows the payments went through and are out of my bank account. Now they sent the delinquency to my credit report when in fact I have actually made 5 mortgage payments in 3 months. This is the worst company ever and selling mortgages should not be legal. I would have never chosen to do business with a company like this, but ended up here after my first mortgage company sold them the loan.

Among several other reasons Flagstar continues to amaze me at how they try to push customers away. Called to ask about a notary, was told that only account holders could use their service which was fine. We had our witnesses drive an hour away to do us the favor, we got there and were told that even the witnesses had to be account holders!!! How ridiculous!!! Do you ask your potential witnesses for a document where they bank? I am changing banks, this was the last straw!

Have done personal and business banking with them for nearly a decade, not only do I like the bank, I like the employees that represent that branch. They're always helpful courteous, and very knowledgeable about the many services they offer.

Hours used to be better, but the tellers aren't just tellers... They're cross-trained in all sorts of things like loans and new accounts. If you like one person in particular, you can deal with them for pretty much everything in banking.

The teller's are always friendly and helpful with my daughter and myself whenever we go in. Maureen, the manager, is a SUPERB example of what an excellent bank manager should be, Flagstar is lucky to have someone like her representing their company. I will bank with Flagstar the rest of my life!
