“Reliable place to pick up just about anything. Last week on my way out of town I needed a new soda stream bottle. Figured it was worth a chance to check because it was a quick in and out. Sure enough, one brand new bottle for less than $2 saving me $18 at wally world (next closest place that would have it) but saving me at least 18 mins parking and getting through checkout. Today I needed yellow and purple ribbons. Found an excellent selection for far superior quality for far less money. Plus brand new Gwen Frostic note cards. I've had the best success boot shopping here. Exceptional quality and prices. Usually for $24. Brand names, all leather. Finally, they have a 94 cents clothes rack that inevitably has something nice in the right size, color and fabric. Prices are better here than at the other thrift stores in Jackson. Shop the sale colors for even deeper savings. I appreciate all they do for the community too. Open later than some thrift stores in town which I appreciate as well.”

“Finally made our way in after living in Brooklyn for 22 years. This place is the best. The members are so friendly, fish fry is amazing and the bar staff is friendly too. I believe we have become familiar faces over the past couple of months. Looking forward to future events.”

“The YMCA is like my second home!!! I go there for physical, mental, and spiritual nourishment! I get positive encouragement from my dear friends, extended family, and Y staff. The staff are Always warm and friendly. The moment we walk in the door the kind, helpful staff greet us with smiles and salutations! The fitness center staff are knowledgeable and attentive to my family's needs. The aquatics staff keep a constant eye on EVERYTHING going on in the pool area. We don't have to worry about our children the staff are our second set of eyes. The YMCA is the perfect place to get families fit and healthy in a safe, friendly environment. We love Our YMCA family!!!♥️”

“My opinion may be skewed as I was a volunteer here, but from what I've seen the used goods are sold at fair prices, especially the clothes at $1. And all the money goes to helping people as well! They also donate housewares to those not able to afford them, so whether you donate items or buy something, it's going to a good place!”

“We came to Cascades today after getting the run around at another shelter. I wasn’t confident when we went in that this place was going to be any better, but I was wrong.First thing I noticed is that it was very clean. We visited with many of the cats and all had very clean cages. We looked at many dogs and their areas were clean too. Each staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. The dog we chose to adopt was surrendered by the previous owner because they had to go into an assisted living facility. They told us how heart broken the previous owner was. They gave us all the belonging for the dog that the previous owner packed. When I asked if I could send them photos of the the dog in his new home to share with the previous owner they were so grateful and said how meaningful that would be and how they would make sure the photos were passed along to the previous owner. You could just tell they truly cares about the dog and the poor owner who hated parting with him.Overall a fantastic experience and I would recommend to everyone!!”
