I wasn't gonna write a review, but since they wasted me and my wife's time telling us they wanted to "make it right" after selling us a death trap, I feel obligated to.
To be clear, we absolutely DID acknowledge that the business bears no responsibility for the condition of the cars they sell. I gave 2 stars instead on 1 (that I later revoked as you will see below) in acknowledgement of the fact that they absolutely did not have to offer us anything for the death trap they sold us, but they did.
However, it feels disingenuous of them to claim that they have zero knowledge of the condition of the cars, since they DO fix certain aesthetic issues that would help sell the car. So, for them to claim that they didn't know a car they sold was using a strap to hold the frame together, which could obviously come apart at anytime on the road to potentially lethal results, seems a little sketchy. The fact that they called to tell us we could come in and trade in the death trap for something that wasn't a deathtrap tells me they realize that fact as well.
In the end, they said they would take 1000$ off the price of any car on the lot in exchange for the one they sold us that we paid $1,700 for, but they wouldn't simply give us $1000 for the car, meaning that the value of the money they were giving us as an exchange discount was obviously not the same as $1000. So this was clearly a PR move far more than a customer satisfaction move. Again, they didn't have to offer anything, and I get that... but the motive for their offer was clearly self serving (the condition for the offer was that my wife remove her negative review of them) and it not only wasted our time, but it had us risk driving that deathtrap back and forth to their business again. For that, I leave this review.
EDIT IN RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: Nothing you said changes a single thing about what I said... you are basically saying "Sorry-not-sorry" in a way that you think makes you look better to people reading this. The fact that you are still "willing to do" is irrelevant considering I would have to drive your deathtrap up to your place again with no guarantee that I wouldn't simply be sold another deathtrap for more money... I'll pass. The whole point of the review is to inform people that you are the type of place that will fix cars to help you sell them, but not make sure that they are even remotely safe to drive... when you tell people they CAN get an inspection, they need to know that they absolutely should, because you have no problem selling them a death trap. If it's presented as an option to see if the car will break down, not paying $40 for an inspection might seem an acceptable risk... but it is a significantly higher risk, and more worth paying $40, for an inspection to know if the car might kill you soon... I'm just providing that information so that when you give people "the opportunity" to have their vehicle inspected (which most people have to pay to do) they know what the stakes are... they can do whatever they want with that information. Your response was so lame I had to revoke a star.

The car I bought has an amazing engine but after buying it and pulling the aveo off the lot I took her in for a tune up and had to sign a release to drive her off the lot home because someone rench strapped the frame together underneath which brooklyn auto said was a total death trap waiting to happen so my husband and I took a bath in the $1700 we paid for the red 2011 aveo. Major disappointment because we really needed an extra car for me to go back to work.

Buy Here Pay Here of Jackson is the only business of its kind in the area. Multiple tiers of vehicles to get you started where you're comfortable. They are looking for the next relationship, not just the next sale.

This place has went down since Brian passed. Having a customer call each month to make a payment monthly instead weekly. Not once being told you were being changed weekly late fee...smh

Bought a beater with a heater from them as my first auto purchase and ran it until the wheels fell off. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and they made sure everything was working before they let me drive off even though it was a cash purchase. Top notch if your on a budget

I bought a vehicle here back in March and i have had nothing but bad out of the car and everytime i called about it all I here is bring it into my mechanic and have him take a look at it i have had my car to his mechanic 3 times and everytime he has fixed something. The 4th time I took it to him to have him look at it. Frank is amazing and does his work. But he looks at me and tells me its not worth fixing. So now me and my children are without transportation because brian wasnt right up honest with me from then go its sad. Michigan needs to change their laws. Oh and to too this I stopped into jt correls and see that the place looks ran down. Their was some gentleman that clamied to own it now saying that was brian who ran JTs with him and their was a reason he wasnt there nomore but he had a stroke so was unable to keep up on the place his self anymore. I hope thats not true but sad if it is :(

I liked dealing with Brian, very honest which is rare nowadays when people are jacking up there prices to take advantage of people. He was straight forward, not any real haggling and he is personable. I highly reccomend his business if you are shopping for a good used car.
