“I worked with Ruby and her team at Something Blue Bridal for my wedding on September 21st this year. I bought my dress originally from Beckers Bridal, but Ruby and her team brought it to its fullest life!! I brought my dress to her for alterations/customizations months in advance so she would have ample time to work on it, which she greatly appreciated. When I brought my dress in, it was a size too big. She took in the waist easily, hemmed it beautifully, and added an intricate bustle to my very layered ballgown. She even color coordinated it so that my younger sister and MOH could identify which bustle was which. On the big day, she had no problem with the bustle. When I told Ruby I wanted to customize my dress, she was excited and took down all of my requests with ease. We added whimsy off-shoulder sleeves (I purchased from Beckers Bridal), and a 90s style large bow on the back of my gown, with long tassels that extended the length of the train. She easily crafted the bow from the extra dress fabric I brought with me. She made sure it was too my liking and fastened it to my dress with ease. She made a very stunning gown look absolutely mesmerizing. I had endless compliments on my dress, largely due to the bow she crafted herself. Along with working on my dress and perfectly customizing it to my needs/wishes, she also worked on my sisters MOH dress, which was very intricately beaded. She took the dress in, hemmed it, added cups, and fit it perfectly to my very thin sister. We had several appointments for fitting leading up to my big day, and each appointment brought more excitement. While at SBB, I also shopped their handmade accessories, and left with a hairpiece, a vintage lace garter for myself, a bracelet, and two garters for my bridesmaids who also get married this year. Our prices for alterations were extremely reasonable, and we were so pleased with the service. Pictures are attached of me in my dress on my wedding day, my sister in her gown, my bracelet, hairpiece, and some photos we took at my final fitting in the shop.
