Very spacious clean room. Two queen size beds are comfortable. It was a cold night, but the heater worked well. WI-FI conniption is reliable. Internet speed is good enough for streaming video and uploading pictures and videos for cloud backup. We are very satisfied.

Check in was greeted as if we were family. Maps of sights and places to go were given to us. Very clean rooms, comfy beds and safe feeling. Would come here to stay again.

Very well maintained classic motor lodge. Room seems a lot larger than most. You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in maintenance and service. We would stay there again.

Being a Michigan resident all my life I was not expecting a brand new up to date hotel. Clean and well worth the value. No problems at all.

We had reservations for an overnight stay during our motorcycle trip. We ended up broke down and couldn’t make it to Ironwood. The motel graciously allowed us to cancel without penalty. I have no reason to believe that our stay would’ve been nothing but exceptional. We’re grateful for their understanding of our situation.

The owner has a good sense of humor. We arrived a bit early before check-in, so we needed to go to a restaurant for a late lunch and come back. He suggested a great place. The room was nice and spacious as

Absolute best choice for my money. I always try to patronize locally owned. I was even more impressed that My opinion after online research was verified. Big rooms, great owners with a ton of information. We will be back!

Despite being a older property it has been recently updated. Our room was bright, clean and spacious. There were no unpleasant odors. It was quiet and the bed was quite comfortable. It was easy to connect to the WIFI. (Some properties make you go through "hoops" to get internet. This one only asked for a password.) My only complaint, (and this has NOTHING) to do with the motel), is that there were VERY limited dining options on the night we arrived. Almost every restaurant in town is closed on Sundays.

Absolutely affordable. Dated, but very clean. Check in was a breeze. Staff was very friendly. It’s a nice old motel with no minimum night requirement. Prefect for a couple buddies and the sleds. Warning: parking is a bit tricky late season as the snow piles up. That’s the only con coming here with truck & trailer. There is space, but to me seems pretty limited with a full house.

Motel is in a convenient location. Check-in was easy and friendly. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The price was competitive for the area. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

We decided to make a sightseeing road trip to northern Wisconsin and the Michigan UP. Based on other reviews, we gave the Budget Host a try and were not disappointed. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful, recommending the best places for dinner and breakfast. Keep in mind this is not a fancy place with lots of amenities. However, our room was huge with a sitting area separate from the bedroom and bathroom; complete with a sleeper sofa, table, and desk. More importantly, the room was immaculately clean and the beds were comfortable. When in the area again, this will be our first choice.

Myself and a buddy made a last minute trip to head up North for snowmobiling. After a recent snowfall area hotels were in high demand and booked up. I received a referral from one of the full hotels to call Budget Host Inn. I'm so glad I did. Kevin, the owner, was so friendly on the phone and even more so in person. We arrived late (around 11:30pm due to snow) and he said he'd be off to bed so he left a nice welcome note with the key. We couldn't have been happier of the decision. The hotel has lots of parking space w/extra space for trailers. The room was exceptionally clean with great decor. It had a small dorm room type refrigerator (plenty big enough for us), a microwave,, a coffee maker w/coffee. The beds were inviting and "firm" which I didn't think I would have liked, but surprisingly it was the best sleep I have had in a long while. Kevin said they are a high end mattress. I like the mattress so much, that I'm purchasing one for home! The showers were nice and hot and the bathroom really clean. The location is near snowmobile trails that go both into WI and into MI. (Tip: head right out of the lot, make 1st right on side street (just a hundred feet) and ride the snow covered backroads to get to the trail head). It snowed that night and by the morning it was completely plowed and Kevin was out clearing snow from sidewalks with a shovel. He's a hard worker! We had a clogged sink and after reporting to Kevin, it was fixed by the time we got home! What great service!! Kevin said somebody had poured their coffee out and a stirrer stick must have went down the drain to clog it. The only SMALL recommendations I'd make are as follows 1) Provide larger towels. After a shower I like to wrap it around my waist while I shave, brush my teeth, etc. The end of the towel provided wouldn't even touch when placed around my body. 2) The bathroom door had a loose knob (such a minor imperfection) and 3) the front blind wouldn't open - I let Kevin know about this and he said new ones are on order. 4) The other thing is the meal deal is a little stringy - .50c off at Mike's Restaurant (no joke 50 cents). I did the math and that's .014% of our $35 bill. We were too embarrassed to even use it. It might be time to renegotiate that deal. There were other restaurant deals that had 10% or 20% off. Our favorite was Breakwater Restaurant, which had a great breakfast. CONCLUSION: All in all I give this hotel an EASY 5 stars and would most definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family. Thanks Kevin for an amazing stay and thank you for the hard work you put into your hotel. You have exceptional pride in your hotel and it shows.
