Not only are the managers and staff rude, if they do not want to open a department on time they just put up a paper sign, change the hours with no notice to customers! I was told by a manager today they can not get enough staff, and yet there were three woman standing there, and the manager was doing nothing but looking pissed off, and rude! I told her I was going to Meijers , and she told me Good Riddance! With that attitude it is no wonder you have no help, and it is a managers job to help in departments short staffed! In this day of digital every thing, I was told it was only her store that changed the hours, so you would only know if you came in! I was in there 3 times last week including Friday, and no sign was up, nor was a change of hours sign posted on the outside door, this woman is just to lazy to do her job! I have never been spoken to so curtly, or been treated so poorly by any staff member or other customer till I ran into this barracuda!! And I was a bartender!! I have been shopping here for 20 years, I have lung cancer, stage 3 renal failure and always do my shopping on Sunday morning to avoid any chance of exposure to illness. But you just lost a 20 yr customer, and for the record I did stop at the Lapeer store and no signs were up, just smiles and business as usual!! I think corporate needs to look at this store and clean house!! If this is how your managers treat customers, it is no wonder you can not keep help.

This is really a crappy Kroger, all the others one have a great selection of stuff! Plus now they put their hours earlier cause about half the store employees have covid!!!!! This store is very very lax about making people wear masks! Also people have complained for a few months already about pump one at the tanks being so slow guess the message doesn’t get passed back

Way to many employees not wearing masks!!!!!! This pandemic is not a joke! Management does not care about customer safety. I will be shopping elsewhere.

The customer service department at the imlay City store has been terrible lately. Rude and snotty at times. They walk away, and sometimes even snap at you if you ask for help. Example, my husband went to buy a lottery ticket. Instead of a cordial friendly greeting he gets "well isn't the lottery machine working"?? As if it's too much trouble to wait on him. He explained well I don't want to put a 20 dollar bill in for a 5 dollar ticket since it doesn't give change. Ummm he should not have to explain himself!! What is up with your employees? I worked retail years ago and would never dream of being snippy or rude towards customers!! If you don't like your job find another that doesn't require you to interact with others.

I shop here almost daily and love that they have special needs workers... but there needs to be someone that can tell the special needs workers when enough is enough. While we were checking out, a very nice man was bagging our groceries. My daughter is very shy. He kept trying to talk to her and she was obviously scared. I told him she’s just shy and that it is okay... but he did keep it going. It did make me feel uncomfortable. I believe these people do deserve to work, but a manager or something needs to be near by so people don’t feel uncomfortable.

Kroger came to Imlay City obliterated the competition then took a sheist. 20 shoppers with full cart waiting for 2 the only 2 lines open on a Saturday afternoon!?! , of course there were 10 check your self out lanes with 1 attendent trying to appease all the robots scream "please put the item in the bag" or some equivalent nonsense- 3 people standing around in manager area calling for help! Get over there and open another lane! I'm only going to shop small competition stores locally- lets go krogering? Hell no you go krogering I'm going to vinkiers , fronneys, sheenas run by people- local people who know you and appreciate you.

I ordered a Birthday cake for my Daughter a little less than 24 hours in advance because of a family illness. They were very accommodating at Imlay City Kroger and did such a great job!! It was more than I expected to be and the whippy icing was perfect. Dana in the bakery and cake section did an awesome job! I will be a customer of hers from now on :) Yum!
