Do not waste your time here, wouldn’t do a joint application because we do not live together then snapped and said “maybe just find something you can pay cash for.” I came in to do a joint auto loan. If you’re going to be disrespectful maybe find another career choice. The lady had no reason to be cocky. The laws she said existed for us to not get one are not there as we spoke to a few legal people as well. Do not waste your time here only heard bad things to start.

Horrible service. The ATM is faster. But I thought seeing the lane was empty and there were 2 men standing near the window. They walked away and didn't help. Really?

I've never had issues with wait times at LMCU, but this branch is by far the worst in that aspect.

If you have an afternoon to waste waiting in line , go to this branch. Why is the branch manager sitting in her office when 5 people are waiting in line? No one in the drive thru but the teller sits on her computer. WHAT HAPPENED TO SERVICE? GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

I just refinanced my car loan from Capital one to this branch. The process was over a month long with rarely any communication. After signing, there was no communication whatsoever. I don’t have the time to stop in the branch at all for the next 2 weeks. Now my account won’t let me have the option to pay my car loan and I have been passed around on the phone and getting transferred with no answers. My loan payment is already 3 days late with no answers.It’s clear that the workers are not trained and don’t communicate effectively.I’m now transferring my car loan back to capital one. This was my first and last experience with this branch

Two weeks ago, I was in Texas traveling alone with my child and someone hacked my account taking all of my funds. LMCU said we’re canceling your card and I told them my situation. They didn’t give a ****. I’d love to have a credit card with a ton of money, an emergency fund, and money to spare but I was out of work for a while due to health issues. They did nothing to help me while I was traveling. I needed gas, a place to stay, and food for my child. They left me high and dry and one manager would say one thing while another manager said something else. Lucky for me, I had a family member who made a huge sacrifice to help me get home. Many others don’t have that luxury. When you need help, a credit union won’t help you. Especially not LMCU and even when the charges are CLEARLY fraud.

My husband just died this month. I am a legal signer on his business account (and Executor of his financial affairs according to our Trust). I need to access his account to pay clients and the IRS and take one last small paycheck from his earnings.I have banked at LMCU for years and always loved how they treat their patrons. Unfortunately though, I understand that the kind of issues I am being confronted with is a common scenario with this credit union. Thank God there is a law backed by the Supreme Court that the bank will have to reckon with.Please stand with me in prayer that the bank will decide on policies that do not bring harm to widows or widowers, forcing legal expenses in order to access funds the bank freezes unnecessarily.

The head teller is very friendly and welcoming, which made it an easy decision to open a Max Checking account here. I am hoping that the rest of the staff will follow that example in order to provide even better customer service.

LMCU reports inaccurate credit information and refuses to correct it. If you value your credit score do not do business with Lake Michigan Credit Union. They locked me out of my account for months and denied access to my account statements. I regularly attempted to make make payments but was not allowed. Months later without any notice I discovered they had reopened my account. Of course I brought it current once granted access. Unethical organization.

I remember when LMCU was GR Teacher's Credit Union. Yes, they have grown and appreciate the services for us the membership. Hudsonville branch is one of the best that I have experienced. Obviously, if you go during high traffic volume then we all have to be patient. Still very Recommended.
