Bought a new Yukon XL with Jamie in late August 2024 and had an excellent experience. I went with a new model due to the high cost of used for this vehicle and was super busy at the time. Jamie and I texted back and forth for a day or so confirming information and addressing questions I was having. I was having a hard time getting to the dealership from GR to drive the vehicle during business hours, so Jamie had someone bring it to my home and test it for 24-48 hours. After using it for a day or two we realized it was what we wanted and we purchased it on Friday evening after work. Jamie worked diligently (and patiently) to get me what we wanted and a fair price on both the purchase and trade in on the SVU we were getting rid of.
Awesome buying experience, no pressure, and super helpful to get us the right vehicle. Highly recommend Jamie and the entire dealership.

Today I was berated in the Hudsonville Meijer parking lot by two Betten Baker salespeople (Samuel Rodriguez and a short bald man/child) for asking why they were using all of the public EV charging stations to charge hummers. After this strange emotional outburst over a mundane question, they then threatened to go get more vehicles to charge and informed me that they intended to commandeer all but one of the charging stations from 9am-5pm for 6 days a week. While I cannot comment on Betten Baker as a business, it is clear that both Samuel and the bald manchild have issues with controlling emotions in public that likely carry over in the way they treat customers and co-workers. Beware of these two!
Update: I have since learned that the bald one was Amos Ayers.

We worked with Sam Rodriguez on our new lease and he made it seamless. He educated us thoroughly on all of the new gadgets and didn't make us feel stupid. He even learned a few things himself! :-) Krysten Conner was also incredible to work with in the financing as well. Briana in Service is top notch and very knowledgeable.
The Whole Team at Betten Baker GMC in Hudsonville are great to work with and we will be there again.

I highly recommend Amos in Sales. He was so knowledgeable & helped me out today on a lease for a Buick SUV! He explained everything so thoroughly & spent a lot of time with me & my husband & had a lot of patience with all my questions! Also Very courteous & kind!!

Betten Baker Used Vehicle Department Sold us a 27 Thousand Dollar Silverado we barely put 1,500 miles on it and it already needs 2 Thousand Dollars worth of Engine work. They Sold Us these 2 extra insurances that SUPPOSEDLY WOULD COVER THE ENGINE AND INSIDE THE CAB STUFF BUT NOOOOOOOO THEM 2 EXTRA INSURANCES DON'T COVER NOTHING..... SO I JUST WANT TO WARN ANYONE WHO IS THINKING ABOUT BUYING FROM THEM, DON'T DO IT...... THEY ARE BIG TIME SCAMMERS... SO BEWARE CONSUMERS "DON'T BUY A USED VEHICLE FROM BETTEN BAKER FROM HUDSONVILLE "....... BE WARNED... THANK YOU FOR READING THIS..

Edited to add: Owen ran my credit more than 8 times on vehicles i didn’t even want, this was the beginning of July and i am still getting letters (mid august) from companies about vehicles i never even said yes and agreed for him to apply for!!
I felt like i was being drug through the mud for a week. Was told daily i had an approval and by the time i could get therein person it wasn’t an ‘option’. I Was told after 5 days since it was such a hassle i would get my car with a full gas tank.. upon being frustrated of wasting a weeks time with no results i went elsewhere. This new dealership informed me betten baker never actually had any approvals for me.. so was lied to for a week. WOW what a difference Berger Chevrolet was! i left betten baker dealership Saturday and upon arriving at Berger an hour later i left within 3 hours with a BRAND new car! I just don’t understand why a dealership would lie like that.. makes me not want to return or recommend..

I flew out to buy a specific vehicle. It had the right miles, year, trim level, and price. I am happy with the vehicle.
The problem was when I arrived to take a test drive the windshield was cracked all the way across. They told me not to worry and I didn't. They took $400 off of the price. Which I now have learned it costs nearly $1000 to have it replaced. You would think a trust worthy dealership would know how much a windshield cost. Shame on me.
Now more than three weeks later the dealership called me and told me I didn't pay enough in local taxes and I needed to pay that in order to receive my plates. My temp tags will expire tomorrow.
And it still took over 4 hours to complete the purchase even after being approved over the phone for financing. After all of the blah blah blah my interest rate went from 9% to 6%. I think it's bs when you have 780 credit score you still need to haggle over rates. FYI. This is a used vehicle. I will never be back.
