We had our wedding at Crystal Gardens Banquet Center in Howell, MI in July 2023. I can honestly say from the beginning to the end, I had the most amazing experience with Crystal Gardens and all of their employees. Valerie, Erica and DeVonna were both amazing to work with in terms of planning, coordinating, and answering the MANY questions that I had throughout the planning process. We got married in the outdoor chapel and had our reception in the celebrity room. Everyone told me to prepare for things to go wrong, and absolutely nothing went wrong the entire day. The staff was amazing, friendly, on top of everything, asking what we needed, and they helped make our wedding day so amazingly special. The food was incredibly and the guests spoke about the food constantly during and after the wedding. The venue is just breath taking, our photographer said the outdoor chapel felt like we were somewhere in Italy and the celebrity room holds such an elegance to it. There were so many places for our wedding party to take pictures at the venue and they turned out beautifully. I recommend this venue to anyone and everyone for their wedding or any event!

From our first interaction on through to our wedding this weekend we had an excellent experience with Crystal Gardens. Valerie, Erica, Barbara, and the entire team were great to work with. They answered all our questions and offered great options. Our guests all commented on how beautiful the space is and good the food was. If you are looking for a space for any event, I would highly recommend making them your first call.

I attended a reception for my nephew and his new bride. The room was comfortable. It appears that there can be a few events at the same time. The food was fairly good.

Being a wedding photographer for some time, I have photographed several weddings at the Crystal Gardens Howell / Brighton location, and I've always been quite pleased with the beauty of the decor, staff organization, and tasty food. This particular Crystal Gardens has a spacious, outdoor, covered ceremony site, however, does not have a full bridal suite. There is a small side room with a changing space which is not ventilated near the ceremony exit door to the outside so if you do not come to the establishment already dressed in wedding attire you may wish to bring a fan if you're using the prep room.I've had multiple clients utilize the Southeast banquet room which is lit from the South with a small patio area with a few tables outdoors. Regarding photography, the space is moderately lit; better than most halls but not exceptionally bright in the evening so bring flash or light kits. There is sufficient space to work around the tables on the raised part of the ballroom and the dance floor is ample for both wide angle and telephoto shooting. The room is wide enough to easily accommodate long head tables in the 12-16 range or so. The only caveat with this particular ballroom is the relatively long, narrow entryway between the coat room and the DJ's raised, walled podium partition. Other than that, this is an easy space to photograph in. Around the building, the grand stairway in the foyer is tall, well-lit, and beautiful for photos and the rear hallway with the stone fireplace is also a nice spot for pictures as well. Sadly, there is not too much greenery beyond the patio areas though.The Crystal Gardens staff has always been punctual and respectful to the wedding clients I've worked with. Dinners have always been released by table. Additional evening options seem to be available such as Pizza for weddings partying into the night.Crystal Gardens continues to be a popular reception venue for good reason and I'd definitely recommend it!

Everyone was so wonderful to work with! They did a wonderful job from planning with Valerie and Erica, to the preparation of delicious food that all of our guests raved about, to the severs and waitstaff who all had smiles on their faces and just took such great care of us! Crystal Gardens will definitely be our venue of choice for any future events!
