Great business offering river trips on the Platte River. We did a canoe trip down the lower Platte and it was an easy paddle- great for a family or recreational paddler. The employees were friendly and professional- from the shuttle driver to the guys helping with life jackets and pulling the canoe out at the end. Very scenic river and fun experience!

Our annual kayaking trip with friends! The staff is super friendly and getting a kayak is fast. Vests provided. Shuttle available to get you from the finish point to your car. Parking by the lake is ample, but permits required. I personally think it's a shame they charge extra, but it's a National park, so state passes are not accepted (again, shame, but not the fault of the Riverside).Their little store has drinks, snacks, and bathrooms. Crew by the lake will collect the equipment. The trip itself is pleasant, you have plenty of time. Just hope for a nice day, so it's not scorching hot. Bring sunscreen and plenty of water.

We come here every year and always have a blast! The crew here is awesome and always helpful. This year was okay. Tubers took over the river and made it difficult to go around them. But don't let that stop you. We still had a great time! Don't float, rent a boat, and have fun.

Extremely frustrating and over complicated sign in process. Let’s not just have one place where you do it all, no, let’s make what could be simple into a 6 step process. Signing in should only take a few minutes, this place took over an hour from first step to on the river. Seriously, we got there at 12 on a Wednesday, and we weren’t floating down the river until 1:25. It was just too over complicated, people at each stage were repeating what we had already heard at previous steps, so some fat can be trimmed out of the process. Our driver, Caleb, was a saving grace however, he was extremely patient with our stressed out group and offered to help in any way he could. The river was beautiful and very relaxing, we needed it after sign in. I’d suggest tubing here, but I’d suggest bringing your own equipment to streamline the process.

The most amazing place on earth. I look forward to this trip every 4th of July. It's always a great time tying up tubes with friends and just hanging out. The staff is friendly and always ready to help make your lazy river trip fantastic.

Was a great float. Kayaks were clean and for getting a ride back from the shuttle was affordable fun. The driver of the the shuttle was less than friendly but I get it. Dealing with people all day. Check in process could be more organized. But they are a good business and when you deal with this many people a day things are gonna get crazy at times im certain. but all in all a Great value and a great place to rent from. You can't beat the river! Thanks for the wonderful experience and in my opinion very affordable for the experience. My significant other and I rented kayaks and were shuttled for $85. A full day of fun.

They rented us a leaky kayak which had to be bailed several times. We notified the office when we returned, but they didn't provide a discount or apology. The bus driver basically called three women stupid in his bus because we didn't have our "paperwork from the office". Yes--the same office which put the leaky kayak back on the rack to rent to others.

The driver was rude and complained we didn't get our paperwork from the office first. Three customers on the bus agreed with me that the office staff didn't inform us. He basically called us all liars. Then we were given a kayak that leaked. We had to bail it twice. When we complained about the leaking kayak, we didn't get a discount, refund, or even an apology. Rent from another company.

We did the 2-3 hour tubing trip with closed bottom tubes. Thankfully we chose the closed bottom tubes because they came in very helpful in holding our belongings. They did give us a clear bag to hold our stuff in if needed, we put our car key and cell phones in them tied them to the handle and they were safe the entire trip, as long as you don’t somehow flip off your tube your items would be safe. There is about a 5-10 minute walk holding your tube to get to the lake. They give you twine to tie your rafts together if your in a group so your not all separated on the water. Most areas the water will lead you but there are some areas where you will have to use your arms to “swim” or guide yourself where the water is slower moving. Majority of the water if not all of it was just over your knees. We got life jackets but quickly realized we didn’t need them. Where you rent the tubes there is a party store with snacks and souvenirs. They also have an ice cream shop that also sells some hot food if needed. Overall we had a blast and I highly recommend.

We love canoeing with Riverside Canoe Trips! Every year we visit the area, and this is the only canoe rental we will visit. The river is easy, their shop is fully stocked, and both kids and adults have lots of fun! Lots of wildlife. When you get to the lake, there is a shallow sandbar where the kids like to get out and splash around when it’s really hot. There is a ‘not too bad’ bathroom stop just under half way through the trip. The best part is the end. You can pay an extra $5 convenience fee and check out right at the end, right on the beach! Highly recommend.

Been here for tubing. Had to wait for too long before we could start. Were told to wait for induction but it never happened! Water flow was so slow, it was difficult to be with the flow, especially for 10-12 year olds. Way too many branches along the shores and it is a bit risky if you don’t watch your head/eyes. Walking back with the tube is also a bit tricky due to no directions mentioned along the way. I think Kayaking should be preferred at this location.

We had a great kayak trip down the South Platte. Very slow, does require paddling a good amount. (Took us 2.5 hours to complete). The bearded guy that helped launch us was great, super friendly and personable, made us glad we chose this place.Water is crystal clear and you can see tons of fish! Bring a cooler and drinks and extra sunscreen! (they sell all of the above).
