DO NOT GO TO THIS VET THEY HAVE NOT SERVICED OUR ANIMALS PROPERLY. Turning a sick cat with a tooth infection away that they were told the she will need vaccination updates and agreed to see her, turning our GSD away for a nail trim because he was moving his feet (not growling or biting), office manager is rude without proper communication or facts (tried to tell me cats are required to have vaccination in Michigan - NOT TRUE!!!), poor communication from the doctor who won't answer inquiries like what was the results of a stool sample, etc. and subpar exam. We work very hard to provide our animals with the best and healthiest environment we can give them. This Veterinary clinic has shown that they really don't care to service but come up with excuses for their failings with no effort to rectify. We are done and will no longer be a client. My advice is to stay away from this Veterinary clinic.

If I had rated this business 4 years ago it would have been 5 stars. I am not sure what has changed internally but their caring attitude is lost! They are unable to see an established patient due to no appointments or limited doctors in the office for simple diagnoses such as an ear infection. The receptionist will tell you the doctor will call when she gets a moment but never calls back. When you ask when the next available appointment it can be a full week away. I decided to pick up an immunization record to take to a new veterinary clinic the same day I was told there were no appointments, and was shocked that all three rooms were unoccupied. I was waiting at the receptionist desk for 20 minutes for a few copies. I believe they have totally lost their empathy for an animal in pain or are not interested in keeping their customers. What an enormous disappointment for this community and a business that used to be exceptional.

I would rate Platte Lake Vet a 3 stars if I only rated my visits today and yesterday. I gave them 5 stars because of the excellent care they have given our dogs over many years. Yesterday I brought our dog in for kidney stone evaluation. he is having an ultrasound today. Two things concerned me. In the past, the owners and animals were taken into an exam room to wait for the vet by themselves. This time all of the animals and owners stayed together in the waiting room until one by one, the animals were taken into the back. it made it very difficult because the animals were excited to meet each other and jumping all over everyone. After the animals were treated, the vet would bring them back and talk to the owner - in the waiting room. There was no privacy and it was very uncomfortable listening to the conversations between the owner and the vet. one conversation was about putting a cat to sleep. The policy makes waiting for the vet difficult because the animals are acting up, and discussions between the owner and vet should take place in private.

They were very professional, caring, and compassionate. Our dog is unfortunately in the final stages of his life, but we were happy to be told that he still has time and that what we are doing for him is the right thing to do. The instructions for how to proceed were clear, so we feel very good about every aspect of our visit. I highly recommend Platte Lake Vets!

Dr Molnar is wonderful. Although it's a busy place, when she is with you and your pet, she is relaxed and does not rush. She took the time to explain the ACL surgery she did on our lab and it was successful! I highly recommend this practice.
