“Small grocer but has everything you need. Good selection of meat & jerky, vegetables were slightly higher in price than other grocery stores BUT they actually looked good & fresh. Dots pretzels were cheaper than Meijer. If you don’t want all the fuss and busyness of a large store, this is the place to stop.”

“This is our favorite store with good prices and selection. Marcy and Mickey are really great gals who work there with always a friendly smile, and makes us feel good about shopping there. And the sales and coupons and the tally on my bill are easy to decipher and always comes up absolutely accurate. Thanks. ?”

“Was busy but not too bad. One of the bottle return machines was stuck which made returning bottles a long process. Was pleased to see that all registers were open today and easily got checked out. This store is now Family Fare no longer Shop and Save. Very friendly employees.”

“Very grateful that there is finally a DG closer to Crystal Mountain and in this small town. Great for residents. I did visit in the evening, though, and was caught off guard that only self-scan was an option. Not recommended in the evening if you need the assistance of a cashier versus self-scan (there was another worker present in the immediate area, but she was not on register).”

“A couple years back I was here with my sisters getting some snacks and drinks for a canoeing trip down the Betsie. They have a great selection of just about everything name brand, but honestly that's not why I'm giving this place 5 stars. The real reason is for the service I received. I wish I could tell you the name of the man that rang me up that day, but he was the nicest and funniest guy I have ever met in any sort of retailer, whether that be a gas station or a Tractor Supply. This man was making the absolute best out of the job he had, making small talk that didn't feel like small talk but rather a genuine heartfelt conversation, cracking jokes and telling stories of his own. I was wearing a Ferris Beuller shirt, and he made conversation about the movie itself and some trivia regarding the filming, along with conversation regarding our canoeing trip and our weekend plans in general. The whole experience only lasted probably about 5 minutes at most, but they were truly magical. I have no idea if he still works here or not, but regardless of where he is now, I hope he's still living his best life, because boy was he certainly doing just that back in June 2017.”
