“My husband and I appreciate the fact that we have an Ace Hardware in our town and don’t have to drive to Lansing when we are in the middle of a project. Given the fact that they are a local hardware, their prices are pretty competitive and sometimes even lower than the bigger stores. Yes some things are pricier but I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to pay a little extra for the convenience of having them 5 minutes away. You do get what you pay for and they offer a friendly, knowledgeable, helpful & full staff and offer plenty of help when you need it. I never go anywhere else for paint. They sell top quality paints accompanied by people who know their stuff and again, it’s 5 minutes away. It’s wonderful to ask questions and get the answers or solutions you need. I don’t even bother to ask questions at a big box store because I know I’ll just get that deer in the headlight look. Best of all, they treat their customers with respect. I do a lot of my own DIY and as a female, have been asked in other stores, if I was “getting my honey-do list ready” or just treated like I couldn’t possibly have a clue what I was doing at all. The people at Ace have always treated me with respect and and never assume I am not the one doing the work and I appreciate that.They understand their market is a diverse community.
They also have a surprising amount of inventory for the size of their store. You just wouldn’t expect certain things to be available and they almost always are. I can’t say enough about them and hope they just keep doing what they are doing!”
“Well if your looking for a great place to get EXCELLENT MEAT this is your place I will drive anywhere for a great food adventure I got various cuts of meat!!The men behind the counter were helpful and answered any questions you have it was fresh inside and they have a great variety of everything in there deli as well!!So I definitely will continue to come here the main reason it's alway's BEST TO SHOP LOCAL it's important to have farmers so please support them ALWAY'S ?”

“Have been going here for decades. This new location is their 4th move in this area. Business has steadily grown over the yrs. Service & sales have always been excellent.They have now expanded to include a large spacious Ace Hardware franchise. Looked the new location over. They have a very large selection of hardware products. Appear to have also expanded their power equipment offerings. Have bought various power equipment over the yrs. Always recd very good sales & service. It's a very well managed business. Highly recommend them.”

“Pettit Hardware is an amazing small town hardware store. You don't see very many independent small town hardware stores like these anymore. All of the staff is friendly and great to chat with. They have a great product selection and their prices are way cheaper than Ace Hardware down the road. I prefer to shop here any day for my hardware needs instead of Ace.”

“Nick from the paint department helped out a bunch. I bought some paint that ended up being way off of the intended color, but it turned out that the base I bought for the match was the primary issue. I ended up having to upgrade to a premium paint in order for it to match correctly, but he price matched to the old ones I bought for the hassle. Great customer service, thanks a bunch.”
