Extremely Dissatisfied with Bulb Store Customer Service
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the customer service I have received from your store regarding my purchase of tulip bulbs. Despite repeated attempts to contact your business via email and phone since April, I have yet to receive a satisfactory resolution to my concerns.
I purchased a quantity of tulip bulbs from your store with the expectation that they would bloom. Unfortunately, neither my bulbs nor those of my friends, who planted them in a different location, have produced any flowers. When I reached out to your store to inquire about this issue, I was met with a series of excuses and evasive responses. These included claims that you did not have access to your email, that the owner was unavailable due to travel, and that I should not contact you during peak season.
I believe that it is unreasonable for a customer to be treated in such a manner. It is disheartening to invest in a product and then be met with such indifference when a problem arises. I would appreciate it if you would address my concerns promptly and provide a resolution that is fair and equitable.

Placed an order for many tulip bulbs in early May, I have not received any of them, nor have I received an email with tracking information.

They advertise The Tulip festival for 2 weeks in May around mothers day. We came the second weekend advertised, drove 3h and it turned out that all tulips are gone. Yet they still charge full admission price so for the family itself close $50. There wasn’t even one nice flower there, 90% were gone and the ones left were going brown and falling apart. When asked about it at the counter the lady said “we can’t control the weather, you should follow our Facebook page” but what they can control is the price of admission. Otherwise it feels like a scam.

The flowers were all dried up. They should give a discount or free admission when the flowers are dead. It was disappointing to go all the way from Chicago to look at dried up flowers.

The gardens were more beautiful and bigger than I had thought! We literally came at the perfect timing and all the tulips were in full bloom!
Highly recommend!

Beautiful Tulips during the season

We came here for Tulip Fest last week. The tulips that were still with petals were beautiful but a lot were no longer in prime. We were shocked that it costs $17/person to literally walk a field with most flowers past prime. I will not recommend this due to ridiculous cost.

Lots and lots of colorful tulips to see. Pricey at $17 a pop and then they hope you’ll buy tulips while there. The exit is confusing and a bit tucked away like you’re not supposed to go there but purposely done so you buy tulips.

A must see during the annual tulip festival in May. Unfortunately this year (2024) was bad weather for tulips and the display at Veldheer was no exception. We asked about the condition of the tulips before paying $17 per person and were told the flowers were “at peak”. We would have paid the entrance fee anyway, but after we got on to the tulip fields we saw the peak had past at least a week or two earlier. We feel that we were misled by staff. Hopefully they can fix the communication issues in time for next year’s festival.

Limited parking. Entrance fee is high compared to Windmill Island (17 vs 12). With that said, the Tulips are amazing and there are so many different species. The gardens are well maintained and were easy to walk through and there were some Bison in a distant field. There is a garden store and another store with nick nacks. Both expensive. A painting was $1200. There is a wooden shoe factory but unfortunately wasn't in operation at the time.

It seems to me that this place is not quite the gem it once was. broken and worn, peeling paint and in need of weeding. for the price that is charged they sould have cleaned up in time for the tulip season. sad to see this place in such disrepair.
the tulips however did not disappoint in their brilliant glory.

Can not recommend this. The tulips are beautiful but the paths between the rows are to narrow and rugged to walk down to view them. Elderly, handicapped and anyone with ANY balance issue don't waste your money.
The path garden with bench seats is overgrown with grass and weeds as is the flower bed in front of the windmill.
Brought people here in the past and it was beautiful.
Brought someone there this past week and it is really sad to see the neglect.
