The restaurant on the south side of Holland was HORRIBLE. The wait was ridiculous. We never saw our waitress instead we had a food runner. We were never asked if we wanted refills on our coffee. I spent close to 100.00 on cold food and the worse hot fudge sundae made all wrong. My family waited over 45 mins for our food. Hands down the worse restaurant in Holland and I will never recommend such a place to eat. When you have a BLT they should try not to make it messy and fallen apart before I even got it. I doubt I will ever get a refund on all this. I even complained and the cashier said oh ok well your total is and gave me the amount. So disappointed and disgusted.

Stopped in for breakfast while on vacation. Everything went smoothly.... getting a table quickly, being waited on quickly, and receiving our food quickly. Breakfast was delicious and we would definitely return if we are ever in the area again. Very good stop for us! Thanks!

Used to like Russ’s, but they have become WAY overpriced for what you get. Clean place, but a lot of other places that would beat this place for a sit down lunch

The food was excellent and the service was very good. We had been to two other locations (not Russ’) and the wait to be seated was over 1/2 hour, so we kept looking. We found Russ’ - so glad we did!

Love eating lunch here. Always fast and of good value. The baked goods are done locally at a central kitchen and are super fresh. SlimJim and Perch sanwich are family favorites!

I was in the area and stumbled in this restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Staff was very friendly. I had the soup, salad and baked potato. The soups were excellent. Fresh and hot. Salad bar was constantly refreshed and had a good variety. I could have skipped the potato. It was good but I filled up on the soups and salad. Other food I saw looked good.

10/10 Onion Rings, they were phenomenal! Heard many things about them, and they did not disappoint. Also tried the Hot Meatloaf sandwich with the brown gravy, I totally plan on asking for the gravy recipe, it was outstanding!

The photos all over the walls tells a great story of the history of this unique dining spot. Food is excellent and the wait staff was spot on attentive. I'll go back again and again.

Worst service today at Russ's on 8th street in holland, mi. Waited to get seated for 15 min...nobody else waiting. Was seated waited 10 min to order. Took over 30 min to get food. Didn't bring me correct grill cheese, waitress said she would get correct one. Was pretty much done with food before I received it. Waitress never asked us for refills on drinks. We asked for manager when our food hadn't come...some Hispanic gentlemen said he was manager..and wasnt! We end talking to the real manager on way out and complaining. Dint appreciate being lied too! They weren't even busy! 2 other families complained & 2 ladies walked out from not being taken care of! Actual manager took care of our bill.

This eatery was recommended by Anuwie who likes this place a lot. The ambience of the place when we arrived was gd. Not a lot of people were dining. Quiet. The utensils were clean. The outlet was tidy. The food orders arrived a bit late.

We stopped by Russ for dinner on Monday evening shortly after 5pm. The service was wonderful. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, and remembered to bring out my dessert at the time I had requested. The food was great, and prices were reasonable. Great experience overall. ?
