Everyone Involved in my knee replacement surgery was awesome! From the information classes to the admissions staff, the pre-op through the surgery and into recovery made me feel informed, welcome and very comfortable in a situation that I was very uncomfortable going into. I was totally impressed. From outpatient checkin to nurses, techs, to the surgery staff and after care was outstanding.
Made You feel comfortable, important, and like You were there only patient.
My late wife was a Mayo Clinic patient which is all top Drawer but I Received That Type Of Care Yesterday.

I was told not to drink water after midnight the night before surgery. My appointment was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. They were running late, so my procedure did not begin until 4:15. That meant I had gone without any water for over 16 hours. Once, I got there, the care was very good! I wouldn't have minded that they were running late if I hadn't been so terribly dehydrated. When I called the day before surgery to see if it was at all possible to drink some water in the morning, I was told "absolutely not". When I mentioned that everything I had read on line said that 4 - 6 hours of not drinking water was sufficient. The charging nurse I spoke with was very rude and told me she would not talk to me if I didn't stop yelling. I wasn't yelling, I was just advocating for myself.

From Registration to the end of my Surgery, it was like Clock work. Everyone was synchronized with each other. Went very smoothly. Every process from start to finish was explained. Every Staff member was Very Professional, and Friendly.

I had a total right hip replacement done on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 and was very pleased with my Dr and the care team. They were very nice and attentive to my needs. I would recommend Holland Hospital to anyone needing hip surgery.

We were treated so graciously from the ER staff to the emergency surgery process. Anesthesiologist was a bit abrasive, but Dr Krause and the entire nursing staff made up for it.
