My surgeon, Dr. Dishinger, was amazing. I loved a couple of the nurses who monitored me as I was recovering from surgery. I will say that there was some miscommunication between the ER staff (where I came in initially) and the staff in the surgical wing. I was being told different things about my surgery from different people. There was a point before my surgery that I had low blood sugar (I am type 1 diabetic) and I wasn’t supposed to eat or drink before surgery. I was left alone for 20 plus minutes not feeling good, when the nurse knew I had low blood sugar. I don’t think the nurse really understood the urgency of a diabetic with low blood sugar and how dangerous it can be. My mom kind of snapped at one of the nurses and raised her voice slightly, and the nurse completely disregarded her point and threatened to have her escorted out of the building. All the while I still had low blood sugar. They finally were able to give me an iv with glucose to raise my blood sugar up. Besides all of these initial issues, I was treated very well the next several days I spent recovering in the hospital. Although it was kind of strange that I had to stay in the same room as another patient as I was recovering, but not a big deal, and understandable.

Scheduling was very convenient and numerous and varied reminders were sent (text, call, and email). Dr. Hafner and her team were professional and knowledgeable, while creating a stress free and accessible environment.

The nurse and doctor were very kind. The doctor explained my options and was very knowledgeable. I had the lesion removed from my knee and was in and out of the office in a half hour.

The entire staff was very courteous, and very timely on my appointment. They were able to complete the inhouse surgery the same day the doctor was fantastic as well as his assistant.

I got Dr. Tenbrink, he was very understanding had answers to all my questions made me feel comfortable and safe I did a small lipoma removal went great I have to go back again for a different lump and I’m confident in this. Thank you

My husband and I really appreciated the time and loving care that Dr. Houskamp provided as he educated us on the anatomy of the body relative to GERD, after my recent EGD. He gave us a thorough explanation of options available, how to self help, and what to expect in the future. I am thankful to be under his care.
