Pulling up to the hotel I had high hopes, especially with the cost. However, upon walking in I was greeted with the smell of burning pizza and the disappointment only grew. As you walk thrive the hotel you see a lack of maintenance and care. Dents on elevator doors, damaged walls from luggage, exposed drywall corners, and what feels like cheap plastic floor tiling that makes your luggage wheels create a strange noise as you walk down a dimly lit hall that is trying to set a mood but missing the mark.I had booked a double queen room for the extra space and what I got was something that only an interior design dropout or a "they don't understand my genius" idiot would have produced. The beds were in line with each other in an unorthodox way and facing away from each other with the heads in the middle. TVs mounted at the foot of the beds and no where else. The walkway from the bathroom to the room is tight and of poor design. I promptly switched rooms to a king.I was greeted by a faint smell of cloves when I walked into the new room. The styling of the king room was old fashioned but modern, elegant in its simplicity, but with strange touches. The sink was...different. The shower is raised and open with no lip to stop water, instead relying on a generous slope to keep from overflowing. There is no bathroom floor drain with this design, so should it overflow there is no where for the water to go and lots of towels will be needed. Thankfully I had no issues with the water. The bed felt plush but worn out. Chair and couch look supportive but you fell like you are sinking to the floor when sitting in them. TV is very dated and undersized for the room. Mini fridge is incredibly tiny and awkwardly placed on the floor. The higher end chain resistance to microwaves continues... The curtains were panel curtains not linked together and required the adjustment of 5 individual panels to block out the light.Sounds travels between floors despite being concrete as I heard could hear the tell tale signs of relations being had above me. I had to turn up the TV to drown it out. Which, due to a lack of acoustic treatments caused a lot of echoing and standing waves.Going down in the morning I was immediately greeted the smell of burning pizza in the elevator. It got worse in the lobby, and no pizza was being made. I think it's a permanent smell from the attached 1847 Lounge that's built in with no real delineation from the hotel itself.Oh, and the tradition of no vending in the vending area continues. I have not seen a vending machine in the vending area of a hotel in the US in years. I'm usually lucky to see an ice machine.Overall, I would not stay here again. This might be an okay place for those who don't know better, but I do. I've seen far better for the price and within the Tapestry collection.

Stylish hotel, walking distance from downtown Holland shopping, restaurants and bars. The bar downstairs has a well attended happy hour with great cocktails and live music (Saturday night). The lobby bistro counter offers Starbucks coffee and breakfast options in the morning.

Not incredibly happy with our room. No bathtub when all I wanted was a bath. Poor view as well. When I called to try to get another room I was told the only rooms that had a bathtub were booked. Seems like a no brainer to have bathtubs. Also the shower is in a cave. You have no choice but to stand under cold water while it heats up. The bathroom is cold as well. The bed is super soft which is great for some but it hurts my back. (Preference is personal obviously. ) After a night of terrible sleep I would have preferred sleeping in my car.The location is amazing though. A block away from everything you could want on the downtown stretch. The 1847 lounge is convenient and relatively inexpensive.Breakfast is a paid affair. Which even at a cheap hotel you get a Breakfast included.I sadly won't book here again for my next trip to Holland, but you take chances. For the price, I did expect a bit better though.

This was a great hotel to stay at while in Holland and we're happy we found it. It was reasonably priced, quiet, the room looked modern and was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was great. We really enjoyed our night here.Walkability: This was very close to the downtown Holland area and it was a breeze to walk there.

Bathroom doesn’t offer any privacy! The sliding door doesn’t close all the way, leaving a large gap- the lighting is very dim at the bathroom sink.Positive’s- the large tub- while in a weird location in the room was very nice. Service was excellent!Location to downtown was perfect!Keyless entry to the room was nice- but tricky using in the elevators.

Where do I start? From my greeting at the front desk, Sami helped me with all things hotel and even Holland related. The rooms were crisp and clean, quiet (concrete, not cheap wood construction), the shower was outstanding with uber hot water, definitely beyond your typical Hilton property!

We stayed here for a girlfriends getaway and it was perfect! Location can not be beat, we didn't use our car one time. Check in was a breeze, friendly staff. Loved happy hour at the bar and coffee in the morning at the coffee bar. Our room was great, loved the layout, very roomy and the high ceilings made it feel huge! Bed was SO comfortable!! Already booked for another stay next month and I can't wait!

Hotel is beautiful and the layout of the rooms made it feel so different. It's sad that nothing is included with the price of the hotel; breakfast, cookies, nor a snack voucher. Julie was so helpful during reservation and check

Read guest reviews about adjacent road construction before booking. Called Hotel and was told no construction on weekends. 6:50 am on Saturday morning construction started. If you have a late event on a Friday night do not expect to sleep in Saturday morning. Disappointed we were misled by hotel regarding construction.

The hotel was great. The 1867 Lounge wasn't. I ordered the Lump Crab cake, and I asked the male bartender if it was actual lump. Of course! Well, it was claw meat and a lot of fillers and as thin as a pancake. Go somewhere else.

Considered two stars, but went with three.Very rough night, due to hotel policy of not taking guest vehicle info, a car alarm in the parking lot outside our window ran ALL NIGHT. I have a video which won’t post here. Front desk could do nothing (I called at 2 AM, patience exhausted), and the policy is supposed to somehow absolve the chain of liability from their restaurant and events. It should be easy to tell that cars in the lot after these are closed would be guests!! So why not.The front desk attendant walked outside, shook her head, and walked back in. It was a total waste of $250 and I will never go back. We used to love this hotel.Walkability: At least it’s convenient to downtown Holland where we had an appointment. But with all the construction, hotel chain transition, bad policies, and misinformation, we won’t be back. I can drive from less expensive places to be downtown when I need to.Food & drinks: So, a clerk told us the QR code with the (not free) breakfast info was the way to order from our room (but, actually not, have to order by phone with no number listed or in person). Food selections were mostly abysmal. Coffee was ok. No complimentary options at all. Baked goods were prepackaged cellophane wrapped. And a $4 bag of microwave popcorn from the snack shelf does NOT fit in the microwave for your use (none in rooms either). What a waste, complained twice (once at the time and then at checkout), the response “we didn’t think of that.” No offer of refund.
