Not a good experience so far. They still have my car. “Repaired “ exact same issue occurred and car went back. I will gladly change my review pending the outcome of the return of my car. $3600 dollars to replace a ptu on ford edge and i told the advisor when i dropped the car off that i believe something caused the ptu to fail and would like the mechanic to check closely other components that may effect the ptu before i go ahead and pay 3600 to repair just a part of the problem. The response was the part will fail because it’s in a hot spot on the car. The part was replaced i was sent on my way. I made it 30-40 miles (almost home) and the exact same problem occurred while driving blown ptu spewing gear oil all over exhaust and underside of car. The oil was burning on the exhaust filling car and everything around with the nastiest smoke you ever smelled. Effin gear oil. Again. Same thing. Not from a part that seized up while it was sitting in the lot (this was the initial claim i got after the part broke again)
Update. Car went back to shop. First quote was 4000$ i told them i couldn’t afford that. Couple days later i was told was different part and now would be 1000$. Declined offer. Couple days after that was told my cooling fan is no good and needs replacement. Declined. I got the car home in fwd and cleaned the connector. Cooling fan works fine. Steer clear of this establishment!!!!
SERIOUS ISSUES!!
When i asked for my original ptu to be returned to me they stated it wasn’t available and had no idea where it was. I was told it probably got scrapped. They claim i didn’t get my part back because it took me a while to come up with the $ to get the car back!

I had a great experience purchasing my first vehicle with Barber Ford - I worked with Blake Gebben and he made the process a painless breeze! They had what I was looking for and for the right price. Everyone else was very helpful and kind through the process.
**edited to add - nobody made me feel pressured, (they were there to help make the decision that was best for me) as that was a concern of mine as a young female purchasing my first vehicle!

Been to the service department twice and haven’t been pleased either time. Overpriced, rude customer service, and overall just a poor experience. I felt like I was getting talked at and nothing was explained to me. I was charged for things that didn’t make sense and didn’t do the things that I originally asked for. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and won’t be going back.

Matt Bol with RE Barber was great to work with. He responded to a Sunday email asking to schedule a test drive of a Heritage Bronco. Monday morning we met and by Monday evening I was driving it home. Thank you Matt.

Thom was courteous and helpful. He helped with answering questions and if he didn't have the answer he talked with the mechanic to make sure we got the right information. Willing to stay with us until the job was completed.

I found the F150 I wanted/needed here, they gave me what I believe was a really good deal. There was a delay in getting all the paperwork finished and sent to me but that’s been taken care of now. So far the truck has been great. Barber Ford is very easy to do business with!
