“Just passed by there and was amazed by the variety of all they had to offer! The Baklava was the yummiest- best not too sweet and the freshest taste ever for $2.”

“Nearly every week I make sure to stop in to this Aldi to pick up grocery staples. Prior to the pandemic, they really did have low prices on quality items, but alas, inflation has also ruined this good thing.”
“Phyllis is such a beautiful woman and has a great heart to help customers. She put in some change so we didn’t have to break a bill which is greatly appreciated, here’s to 50 years of friendship. ?”
“Clean place, went for one item, only two choices. But, found a few other items in the store to pick up. Didn't buy meats this trip, but looked good and counter was busy.”

“I love Aldi. Been going to Aldi (multiple locations) since I was a kid with my mom. You can’t beat the prices (usually) and we are always in and out so quick I wonder why I ever shopped at a Meijer.”

“It is a good place, they have everything, the prices are a little higher compared to other places, but when they have offers, some prices tend to go down quite a bit, the service is good and the place is good.”
“Aldi has really been saving me so much money! Groceries are high everywhere. This store is the only place that I have found true financial relief while trying to stock my pantry. I'm very thankful that they're in the neighborhood”
“The store was not crowded. The shelves were stocked. There was not a long wait in line to check out. There is only one cashier. She was friendly and fast.”

“The market offers a diverse selection of fresh produce, gourmet foods, and specialty items. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to explore and discover unique ingredients. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, providing excellent customer service. Whether you're looking for quality groceries or a quick bite to eat, Marcus Market is a must-visit destination in Midtown Detroit.”
“This is a great grocery store and deli. I go there for the massive selection of European food stuffs and baked goods made in the store. Warm breads, pastries, filled donuts and cakes. Real baking professionals. And the selection of pickles, seasonings and specialty grains. Need spelt and semolina? Worth the trip!”
“Hands down the best place to discover an array of Yemeni and Middle Eastern specialties. From exquisite dates to aromatic coffee, honey, and tea, this shop is a treasure trove of authentic flavors. The cleanliness of the shop adds to the pleasant shopping experience, and the top-notch service from the staff makes every visit a joy. If you're a fan of these delectable delicacies, Thamarat is a must-visit destination. Highly recommended.”

“I’ve been going to this Aldi’s for years and never had a bad experience. Prices the lowest you gone find when it comes to bang for your buck. And they have a friendly and professional staff so that’s also a plus.”
“The prices and quality are very good. You may not like everything there but you just find the things that you like, because the pricing is so good. I consistently go there every week to shop and get something of value every time. Great fruits and vegetables, breads and coffee too.”
“My experience at Hollywood has, for years, been 99.9% positive. Staff attitude & assistance, selection & quality of brands all “top op the chart”. My only real complaint is with the availability & maintainenance of the electric transport carts, for elderly & handicapped customers. The availability & maintenance of the carts at the Madison Heights store is “borderline acceptable” at best. There are currently only 2 carts available at this store, & both are of questionable reliability. Just this past Sunday, Dec. 3rd. , I was using the only cart in the store with a larger basket, having a larger shopping list to fill. I was two items short of completing my list, when the cart just stopped running. A nearly full charge was showing, but it simply would not move. I’ve had this happen a time or two before, but this time, I was at the back of the store, with a a VERY full cart.As in the past, staff was very helpful in resolving my problem, by getting the only other cart in the store, (a small capacity one), & got most of my order packed into it. This kind of assistance is greatly appreciated but, quite honestly, should not be necessary!! You have a good store, & it would be a smart move to insure that your elderly & handicapped customers are adequately provided for. From other businesses I have observed, it would seem reasonable to have at least 3 large capacity (fully functional) carts available to those of us who need them, at all times. If you place any importance on the elderly & handicapped customers you have, (and you certainly should), please correct this problem as soon as possible.”
“Aldi has the best produce , all the time. I eat fresh , so I go there a lot. They have the best wine selection too. I love the bed-in-a bag when they have them. They have all sorts of items for your yard too. It's worth the trip , drop in sometime.”
“If you need a hard to almost impossible item or ingredient for your authentic Mexican dish, then you need to head to Algo Especial. This is a store that I have visited with my mom for those family recipes that needed that Especial ingredients and we could only find them here. Their tamales are the best in all southwest Detroit.”
“A bit expensive but they have a lot of items that you can not find easily other places. I shop there for certain things. It's a hometown market with kind people.”
“This place has changed it has no smell, it's clean meat prices are ok but the price of eggs is ridiculous 7 or higher for a dozen eggs is ridiculous when Sams club has 24 for 5.28. Overall I will continue to shop there.”

“Man, this is the best Mexican food I've ever had. They give you such a big quantity for the price they give, AND its higher quality than majority of other mexican resturants. I live in metrodetroit, and those places would charge me 17 or 18 dollars with the amount of food they give me compared to them charging 10-13 dollars here. Highly recommend of the beef tongue burrito”
“Being these guys since I was a baby I am all grown up and I still shop with these wonderful ppl there more then jus ur friendly Nieghborhood grocery store there family”
“Needed to make an exchange and service counter was a good experience to start. Returned with the item I wanted to exchange with original item. Explained to different employee I was having issues w card I made purchase w I'd like to put it on I gift card I had .36 cents remaining. She said that wasn't possible...went ahead a put the difference on the card for original transaction (I wasn't aware yet) I said well put on a different one? She said too late it's on the original card...???? Ummm thanks for asking first? But I was talking to her but actually she was busy talking to another employee & not paying attention to me lol...So there's that little bit of her not hearing me telling her I was having issues with the card I made the original purchase with. So now the difference she put back where I didn't want her too is in limbo until everything is fixed. But hey whatever right? Lol at least I got the exchange done & there's money there one of these days. No big deal.”
“The Grove Kosher Market in Southfield, Michigan has no lack of kosher food choices. It is a one stop shop for all your kosher food needs.
The employees are pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking. The best plastic bags of any store I’ve shopped.
Yes the prices are high. I was on vacation so it was a bargain compared to eating out. If I was a local I would likely comparison shop.
Edit: I was just at Grove again Purim 2025. Again the selection at this store is phenomenal. Freeze dried Estog, Krembo and Achva Halvah from Israel (my favorite) just to name a few. There in store bakery goods and ready made products are high quality and delicious. I could go on and on.
However and this is a big however: their prices are shockingly high, even for kosher food. I don’t know how folks can afford to shop there on a regular basis. I would hope the owners do something for members of the community who have a tight food budget.”
“If you are one of the people looking for something similar to food from your country from Central America onwards, this is the place. Good prices, good service and lots of variety”
“They were very friendly and helpful...I got my watch battery changed, and it was very inexpensive...Besides being a smoke shop, they also do great watch repairs...”
“Very kind staff. Friendly, respectful and helpful neighborhood store. They have surprisingly much more than you'd expect from a small neighbor store with a very good variety ad well. One of my favorites.”
“I come here often and I don't think anyone has cheaper prices on halal steaks and ground beef they are good people that run it and staff are good and fast if you haven't been here you should try it out you won't be disappointed.”
