I went for slight trim of my face frame and some body layers in the back. I ended up with Laniece. Let me just tell you she had me in tears. She started my layers then went to my face frame. That’s where it ended. I had to stop her because she hacked my hair and does not know how to face frame. She told me to trust the process that she was not done. Oh yes you are you already took off way too much. She wasn’t even holding my hair proper to do a face frame. So nope not happening she is not going to continue. She also try to tell her co worker that my hair was dead and much thinner on that side which is untrue. I get my hair trimmed once a month to keep it healthy and all the hair she hacked was all my new growth since I lost a lot of my hair during my weightloss journey. She’s full of it. I was told it was the end of her shift right before I walked in so she should have just went got someone else instead of just taking me when she just really wanted to leave and not do it. I have no problem waiting. Then Jill came out from the back took me to her chair to try and rectifying this ladies mess up. First Lady went to blunt on my cut. Jill did her best to make it look good but there was no way. I now have a woman’s mullet! Jill was nice enough not to charge me without me having to ask.

First time trying out the Hazel Park Great Clips for a trim & I left very impressed. Victoria was my hairdresser & I’m so glad to have had her. She asked thorough questions before getting started about my hair history & hair health. I loved her attention & care to detail. Every step of the way she made sure that I was comfortable. She also recommended a few products that I desperately needed. Thank you so much Victoria, I will be back to see you!!

I have been coming to this Great Clips location for at least 6 years and I love it! While there are some differences to how you approach cuts for Black women, Laniece is AMAZING! Know your guard numbers—or let her guide you. She makes great product suggestions also. Jill and Sheila are always warm and welcoming as well! Oftentimes I enjoy watching the ladies do cool cuts/styles for other customers while I wait. We’ve all been coping with inflation, but with these ladies you’ll always know your money was well-spent.

Potentially deserves three starts, but as a woman this location five times now has been an absolutely terrible experience. My current example is Melissa. I know my ends where very much in need of a cut but to RAKE thru my hair and to say “it’s just so knotty” is trash my head is completely pounding thanks to you and I’m sorry but it took you five minutes to cut my style, I regret feeling forced to tip people bc you did not deserve your tip and need to work on your people skills you yourself get ZERO STARS. Absolute trash service. You also need to work on learning how to check people in bc there was no reason mine and my boyfriend’s services should have been connected and from what my boyfriend said his AMAZING stylist Shelia agrees. She can keep her tip I’ve heard non stop great things about her. You should take a page from her book and do better! I will not be returning to this location tho, I’ve been burned multiple times now by stylists that just aren’t good and I should know better.
Requested style: 2 1:2 inches off and layers.
You didn’t even ask if I wanted short or long layers and cut me off when I tried explaining

I've been going here for a while, and I havent had any issues. Every time I've been there I was overwhelmingly satisfied.
But today was different.
I'm new to having a beard, and I asked for a trim on the sides, my beard was getting a bit unruly and they've been pretty good with minor trims. I specified that I wanted the sides of my beard trimmed, I said: "because I'm growing it out, I want to keep it big, and it's getting unruly". She suggested a 4, which I assumed was what I asked for (Im new to having a beard), and she jusy went ahead and basically chopped my whole beard off. I told her that wasnt what I wanted and to just finish the rest of it with the 4. She said that I should have been more specific and anyone else at the place would have "rushed straight to a 2".
I'm not going back.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I was growing it out for THREE MONTHS and now I'm back to square one.
