I appreciate our local Ace store, so when I got in a pickle while picking up something in the Detroit area, I stopped by to grab a couple of quick tools. To be fair the staff were friendly, but I felt like I made it clear I needed something inexpensive to solve a one-time problem. However, the associate who was assisting us, ended up selling me a $20 Cobalt drill bit when a $5 or $10 dollar carbide would have been fine. I caught the rep trying to upsell me on a $10 screwdriver when a $2 was all I was looking for. I missed the fact on the drill bit until I was already cashing out. The parts worked as needed and the trip was saved, so good news to the end of the story.

I can't stress enough how important it is for me to have their resources to help me get advice on projects. I also like buying mulch and potting soil here. They will load it right up to my car every time. They are well stocked with all the hardware basics. I much prefer shopping here to big box stores even if it's a tad more expensive.

I have been going to this hardware store for years now, and I’m always so impressed. When I walk in, everyone asks if I need assistance. Sometimes I say no, but when I say yes, they are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
I’ve had times I’ve been at Lowe’s or Home Depot and have asked for help or advice, and they come up short. Tony’s is spot on with helping me for both my home and business. As a DIYer, this is the spot. So happy they are part of the community.

I don't know how these people can work there. I'd spend my entire paycheck there if I did. There are so many "toys" a guy like me would love to have. They know just what I will need for any project I need to get done.

Tony’s Ace Hardware is the best. I went in for a few small things and within a minute of walking in the door I had 3 people ask me if I needed any help. I told them that I needed to level out a few plant beds and they pointed me right to the option of dirt, no sales pitch no agenda! Just there to help. It feels like the neighborhood hardware shops of old. A throwback to when service was excellent! Highly recommend!
