They did a nice job of getting all the work done on my car before the end of the day and even stayed late after closing to make sure I could pick up my car after I got hung up at work. I stopped in to ask Greg a simple question about my vehicle two days ago: Is it safe to drive. I had been told my several male friends that my rear differential was bad and wanted to make sure I wasn’t unsafe. He said he would like to drive it to listen to the noise it was making. I thought this was nice of him so had no reason to suspect he was going to steer me wrong. After driving it he told me it wasn’t coming from the rear of my car but that my drive shaft was bad. He never explained there was different parts in the drive shaft. He quoted me at needing this drive shaft replaced and said he could get me a great deal of $690, cost to him, and that total this repair would be around $1,000. After I got home I remembered something he had said to me while we were driving and it began not to sit well with me. It was something along the lines of how he would rather work for women than men because women don’t pretend they know what’s wrong with their vehicles.I decided to call some other mechanics. I ended up calling 12 in all in 4 towns. They all told me the same thing: He was ABSOLUTELY attempting to rip me off. After I take my vehicle in to be inspected I will add to this post, because I’m curious now if he knew it was my rear differential all along.I’m pleased I trusted my gut and decided to call around. I have no doubt that when I left there yesterday this bloviated tool thought he played me when he actually only played himself.
