“Try the lasagna! It’s delicious, and a great value for the size. The meatloaf is also delicious. They have a great selection of specialty items you won’t find around Petoskey (including frozen NY bagels), and an awesome selection of zero alcohol options. I like their pizza a lot, haven’t tried much else from the deli side, but they have good sliced meats and the staff all around is very friendly. We are big fans”
“Always great for a quick stop on the way to the beach or a party. Generally the selection is good. If you are looking for something specific, their other store has a bit more to pick from (bill and carols)”
“What a find! Tucked away off the beaten path, this gem must get its clientele by word of mouth. It's a mom & pop grocery & liquor store. Unless you know, the deli counter is hard to find; it's tucked away in the back of the store. Any kind of meat and cheese you would want are available for fresh-made-as-you-order sandwiches on freshly baked bread. They also have burgers and brauts. There is a side refrigerator filled with premade sandwiches, sliced meats, deviled eggs and pickled bologna if you're in a rush. Employees are super friendly and prices are reasonable.”
“They always have the gourmet items that were looking for that even the big grocers don't carry. For example, they always carry British style double cream, perfect for out homemade scones! Also, don't miss out on their awesome selection of deli fresh sandwiches and soups. You'll find them behind their large liquor selection including what seems like a hundred tequilas and bourbons.”

“Great folks, AMAZING homemade sandwiches & other foods - potato salad, Cole slaw, etc. Plus a really nice selection of bourbons. Also have a soft serve window w/picnic tables on the side but have never tried those. Great find.”

“Quaint little bottle shop that’s family-owned and operated. Their claim to fame is their made-to-order deli sandwiches. Their bread (baked in-house) is potentially the best I’ve ever had on a deli sandwich.Gurney’s is so popular in the area that during peak summer months, you should plan on getting there around 11am if you don’t want to wait in a 30+ minute line that goes out the door. NO TOMATOES, so don’t ask! Trust me, you won’t miss ‘em.”
