Great place for a hot and hearty takeout lunch during the winter weeks! Two daily specials, usually a hot sammich and a hot casserole, sometimes it's Tot Casserole if you're luckkkkkyyy enough. Most everything is made up fresh in the Back Kitchen. I took a wrong turn once and ended up back there; everything was clean, orderly, hazard free, and smelled of cinnamon and vanilla. Happily, cakes are baked back there, the best being the carrot cake, omg, the Carrot Cake! Grab two plastic forks, a bottle of Michigan made Riesling, your lover, and head home for fireside dessert! However, the dognuts are, understandably, from Johan's, a local bakery. Pair a freshly chocolate iced dognut with some Campfire Coffee; now that's a true Breakfast of Champions here in Northern Michigan! Happy Trails to You!
