I really like the Meat department, its Fresh, nicely displayed & good quality. I was there this past Wednesday, had excellent service & the meat manager was knowledgeable & friendly. It's been a while since I've been here, but I'll definitely be back. I was able to get what I needed in produce & bought a delicious Pizza, made perfectly. & got out fairly quickly. Great Experience!!!

Regular shopper here. I love the convenience of the store. Yes, pricey. The good: their wine and liquor selection is broad and they have a very astute dept. Head on board who can tell you everything you need to know. mark up is noticeable but that department is well looked after. Meats and marinates are great for a quick dinner. Their deli is mostly good. I picked up some quacamole, and it had a bunch of little plastic tabs throughout it. Our guests stopped eating it after a couple. I went to tell the deli and the person looked at me like they didn't speak English so I told the checkout people and was treated like someone grubbing for a refund which wasn't the pupose of my report. Anyway, nobody acted concerned, so I won't buy that anymore. The staff are friendly and very helpful all throughout the store, always asking if I'm finding what I need. I love that. The Italian section used to be unique now stocking standard brands. Good music.

The owner need to learn how too treat his cashiers they are very hard working people and he treat them like trash. He is very disrespectful to the ladies that work for him. When you the owner treat your female workers with respect never yell at them in front of customers point ur fingers at them like they beneath you. The short owner really need to work on his attitude. But he will put on a front in front of the customer's like he is a nice guy it's all a deception. I love all the cashiers they are very hard working ladies keep up the great job..

Terrible quality of products. Products purposely marked up at least 50%. Can find all of these items online or anywhere else cheaper and that's a fact, just do your research. Rude employees and the worst management.

Very very over priced. A lot of items were double the normal cost elsewhere. I purchased a store-made garlic butter that was rather expensive, but I'm a sucker for some nice garlic butter. I was a little concerned because there were no ingredients or any description listed other than "garlic butter", but thought, well, what else would it be than butter. However when I arrived home, it was very clearly margarine. Very upsetting as that is 100% not butter. Couldn't do anything but throw it out.

For the price and outward appearance I was expecting an experience similar to that of Joe's in Birmingham or Cantora's market in Plymouth. The east side really falls short in almost all shopping experiences. This place has very little baked items made in house. Meats are hit and miss, and most of the wine can be had more cheaply in other local wine shops. You may purchase most of the items they carry in other local stores, I don't understand the draw besides that while also being unstocked many of the staple items, it is much cleaner than the other local stores.

It's alright. Not very interested in shopping here since the remodel. I quit drinking and forcing me to walk through the wine selection before cashing out is annoying. The cashiers carry on conversations with the baggers and barely pay the customer any mind. The prices are high. $3 for a bottled water.

I was going to get their fried chicken (whole pieces) and wings. But so dried out and only 5pm??!! If I’m going to pay 12.99 a pound then I want edible food. And prices up and down the isles were outrageous! A jar of jelly $10! A little bag, one serving size was $4.99 of chocolate popcorn, 3 double chocolate cookies near the deli were over $10! Can you tell I went hungry?! But all I bought was the jelly, I needed it for the lamb for dinner this weekend!I know it’s a convenient place to shop for Grosse pointers, maybe they can afford those prices, but not me. But a side note though, everyone who was shopping had the handheld baskets and only had a few things. The Dad in front of me at checkout with his two kids, the kids wanted something sweet, Dad said ok, but the cute little boxes of gummy’s by the checkout were $10!! He said no and the reason for saying no. So as they left the kids were saying “OMGosh $10 for a little box of candy!” Then they asked the cashier for a sucker, but no free suckers!

My step mother told me about this market, and after my first visit, I knew I would be a return customer. Their prices are on the high side, but you can definitely see, and taste the difference, and aside from regular groceries, This place has a great hot food bar, and counter with many delicious options, as well as a great deli meat counter (unlike some other grocery stores in the area, the deli meat that I have purchased from Village Market has always been fresh & good tasting). They have some amazing chicken salad there too.

The store is small, aisles are narrow... that's the only bad thing! The staff is helpful and friendly; there's a butcher shop and wine cellar in-store! literally there's a wine cellar! The food was fresh and it was a lot of variety, too!

Unless you are a millionaire do not even bother setting foot in here. Total ripoff Grosse Pointe pricing plus Joe Biden inflation makes this store unshoppable. $9 for a little dish of garlic dip? Yeah. Cramped, crowded and nasty too along with Mack Avenue miserable parking issues. Just go to Aldy's and save the money for your kids college fund. RIP-OFF

The prices are a joke for the quality. Crazy paying $12 for the same size container and brand that you can buy at Aldi for like $1.99. They have a nice selection and a clean store, but their prices are bonkers?

I've been coming here since I was a little kid. Service, meat counter and new design are great. The price for the hot bar is ridiculous. $11.99/lb for chicken wings and the same price for a salad? No way. Also, I'm pretty sure the register just rounds up to a pound even if you're under so if you want some wings and a salad that's $22. This makes Whole Foods look like the Dollar Menu.

This is a wonderful store. The staff keep the shelves in meticulous condition. They have hard to find spices and other items. They include a large international selection of foods. The only drawback is the high prices. There is no reason for an additional $3 a pound for lunch meat and cheeses and other products.
