My first visit to this office was great. The staff was very pleasant and inviting. I don't particularly enjoy going to doctors or dentists offices these days after a rollercoaster of events dentistry wise the last few years, but I was put at ease by everyone from the moment I walked into the office, to the time I left. Dr. Szandzik was awesome! He really knows what he's doing. He explained everything really well, and listened to all my concerns and questions thoroughly. I really like him, and I would recommend him to anyone. If you're looking for guidance in the realm or oral and maxillofacial surgery, this is the place to go and he's the guy to see.

Reported Summit oral manager Anne king- dr sclafani to the board for abandonment during a critical stage in a treament plan for Marco. Office manager was rude and took a personal issue or bad day she was having out on patient. Patient is in pain and was discharged with no notice had to call multiple times to get an answer when we were told if we paid the money an appointment would be scheduled never returned calls for months had to call again all times to get an answer. Finally spoke to someone after months saying we were discharged. That's ok reported to the board and will be talking to a lawyer. In pain and suffering due to this office.

Dr. Larose and the staff was extremely awesome and helpful during my visit. They are very supportive, professional and nice. They listened to my emergency tooth concerns and gave me options for the best possible treatment and solution. The office was extremely clean. In I didn’t have to worry about the patient in the next room hearing any of our conversation. The procedure I had done was very painless and quick and Dr. Larose and his team made sure that I was comfortable every step of the way. When I told the assistant that I was cold she immediately offered me a cover to warm me up some. My appointment was only for a consultation but Dr.Larose understood my needs and performed my procedure that day within minutes. I definitely recommend the office and staff in GP for any orthodontist surgery procedures that you need done. Thank you so much

I had survey today with Dr Stanczyk. I was a little nervous about getting an IV as I've been told I am a hard poke. He was so completely gentle and my vein blew for my ice in my arm but it barely even hurt. He got it right away in my hand with no pain. He is so good. Great bedside manner. I highly recommend him. As he came to me highly recommended to me.

I nothing to say about the doctors, because I can't even get past the waiting room to see them. The front staff is so rude and annoyed that clients are there in the first place. The worst staff. Next, you can wait an hour, maybe two hours for your appointment with no updates from any staff member. That's after waiting months for the appointment in the first place. A little bit of communication and care goes a long way. Find another place.

I initially booked an appointment for "whenever" as I wasn't having issues with my problem areas. Two weeks before my appointment, I was in great pain. I called to beg for an earlier appointment, and (1st kudos!) was given an appointment the next day. I arrived timely and was met with (2nd kudos) friendly and helpful staff, paving the way thru paperwork and insurance. X-rays and then the dreaded dental chair! I didn't have time to fret because the doctor was quick.(3rd kudos) Before I knew what happened, I was signing the consent to have my tooth and root removed! Now, I had been told, and reminded, that this appointment was a consult and further treatment would mean another appointment, so I was thrilled to know my pain would be resolved sooner. The banting and teasing of Dr Russ and the dental associates completely took my mind off the procedure (4th kudos) and before you could say "Bob's your uncle", I was leaving in total relief. Seriously, I can't recommend Summit enough, and the Macomb location in particular! I forgot, throughout my entire process, each person I interacted with asked if I had questions...and then paused for my answer!

It was awful there. The wait was 2 1/2 hours and there was 1 other person in the waiting area. On top of that they told me I'd need my four wisdom teeth out and then said my scans show I needed more teeth out. The doctor spent 5 minutes with me and that was it. Went for a second opinion and the doctor actually communicated with me and told me no I didn't need all the teeth out. Summit oral had absolutely terrible bedside manner and clearly and surgen who just wanted to cut into my jaw.

I recently had an extremely painful toothache that required an emergency extraction. The Summit Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery located in Grosse Pointe Woods was immediately contacted by my dentist. Without hesitation I was told to head on over.Dr. David Szandzik did a fantastic job. He was a true professional, ensuring I was comfortable and safe. The day after the extraction I was contacted by Wendy to ensure I was doing well! Yes I am!From Amanda in the front office to Robert, who assisted the Dr. I was completely satisfied,

Normally I receive excellent care from Summit Oral, but just recently I received below-par service. I was having all of my top row of teeth removed. Earlier I was re-assured by a staff member that I would receive anesthesia. Dr.David Szandzik refused to give me anesthesia and he didn't do a good job. I have a deep cut on my lip and Szandzik didn't even acknowledge the fact that he did cut my lip, deep. The whole of my mouth has cuts inside. I felt like I was butchered by Dr. David Szandzik and he didn't bother to take the time to ask me how I was doing. He quickly left the room without talking to me. Now, I don't know who to trust regarding service.

Have had a very positive experience with a recent oral surgery ( implant) with Dr. LaRose at Summit. He is skilled, knowledgeable and has a wonderful rapport with the patient. Highly recommend Dr. LaRose. Summit office employees create a friendly, cheerful environment and are efficient with their respective jobs.

I wish I left a review when this happened in 2016.Got my wisdom teeth removed (fully knocked out under anesthesia) here in 2016 by Dr. Hackenberger.Ended up with TMJ directly after the procedure.Never experienced TMJ at all before this. For 2 years I dealt with my jaw locking shut.My jaw still clicks and pops out of place.I complained about this (in 2016) and Dr. Hackenberger fully DENIED any responsibility in causing this issue for me. I was told the surgery couldn’t cause TMJ.Wisdom teeth removal can absolutely cause TMJ.TO THIS DAY (6 years later) I’m still dealing with the repercussions (TMJ) of the surgery.
