After 1000 I was still in the dark about my cat and wasn't given any kind of treatment plan or offered any kind of pain management for my beloved 16 year old cat. The nurse and vet there are robots. Show no compassion. I got no eye contact. Actually the only good thing about this place were the receptionists ladies in the front. They were very nice. Won't be back and will never recommend this place either. I went to Thompson clinic and that place was incredibly compassionate and was much more knowledgeable.

Can’t give help over the phone if your cat is not a patient there.

Used to be amazing, everything has completely changed. Family & I have been taking our cats to Kitties Dr since the early 90s. I even remember when they were down the street at their original location & they had the male Dr in addition to Dr Adrid. They were so on top of things, We have had a few instances in wich a cat has been super ill & at deaths door, and Dr Adrid & staff were always so kind & listened to your concerns, and worked with you. We credit Dr Adrid with saving the lives of a few cats of ours over the years. Literally, you think of an ideal vet & vet practice this was it. They actually inspired going to school for Vet tech, before deciding on an entirely different path. However, giving them praise for the past is not why I am here! I deleted that decades old review & decided to be more current! They refuse tell you the price of the most basic things in advance, whether it be 6 months or 6 hours. Making it difficult to plan ahead, prices fluctuate so much, will it be $300 or $700 for this follow-up appointment. It's a mystery!Instead, they like to spring the price on you when you are physically in the hot seat, & kitty is in the back roo. out of sight. Margaret, the desk lady has always been ornery & acts like everything is an inconvenience, or like she is guarding a magical horde. My boy Baghera came to me as a rescue, Kitties Dr scanned him for a microchip when I brought him in.I found out two years later when he died of an sudden unknown illness, that he had a microchip. He was somebody else's baby, he might have had meds he needed to take! They say they scan for microchips but they do not!!!Penso was not doing great on top of having long term health problems we managed. After a couple blood panels & follow-ups, all being inconclusive. Turns out they never looked for cancer! Why not? Because we had to "tell them what tests we want done". Was that not what all those blood panels were for!? Granted, catching it early would not have saved him from that form of cancer, but, quality of life!Honestly, that should have been the last straw. But we keeped with them, after all, they saved Pogo, and maybe we are just being unreasonable. However, today has got me beyond upset, and I'm done with Kitties Dr. I have a 19 year old cat, that has to take a 1/4 pill for her thyroid twice a day, NOT HAVING HER MEDICATION CAN KILL HER! Currently I have 2 1/2 days worth.I called kitties Dr, and am told I will need to make an appointment befor she can have a refill. No problem, Im completely fine with making an appointment for the first week in October when I have money, but, in the meantime I would need enough pills to last till the first week of October. We did that in the past, would add up to 7 pills.I'm told "no, she will not get a script refill until she has seen the Dr", I literally only have enough money to cover just meds till the first week of October. As I'm in tears worried about my cats health, pleading with LVT Cheryl for just enough thyroid medication for my cat. I'm told, "I remember you cryng & carrying on like this time last year, over a similar thing". The fact that I'm overly emotional about my cats, should not receive snarky remarks, attempts to call some imaginary bluff, or shame me for my monetary issues. All I wanted was 7 pills, and to scedual two weeks out!LVT Cheryl told to me to "take a loan out" or borrow from family (in Europe till Oct 1st), & learn to save up for appointments.I responded with "I want recommendations for another vet please", was hung up on.We currently have 5 cats that we take in twice a year at least $400 per visit, base, not counting all tests & extras that get tacked on (which is a lot), some even going past $1000.Now that's a minimum of $5,000 yearly that Kitties Dr will not be getting!Mind you, I was only asking for a grand total of 7 pills until I could get her in the first week of October! But, shame on me for not getting a loan or resort

I would have liked to take my (4) baby cats here, but at $311 per cat I just can’t afford $1233 for the initial visit.Unfortunately I’ll have to look into more affordable options as a just don’t have $1200 to dish out every time I take them

I love kitty doctor. They feel like family and I have a lot of trust and confidence here. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, you don't feel rushed. This is a cat-only veterinary office so you do not have to worry that your kitty is going to be exposed to bigger animals, and dogs, and get more anxious. The staff is very knowledgeable and Dr. Adrid is very caring and reliable. Thank you for doing such a great job taking care of fussy babies

Love the people and the place. Worth the extra cost. I feel these days, you get what you pay for. my kitty's need to be spayed and I rather not go cheap and risk it. I'll go without things for my fur babies

To start I will say that the facility here is very clean and lovely. I also normally don’t take the time to leave anything but good reviews but this place is terrible ! The veterinarian here is very unprofessional! As I was trying to explain to her what happened to my dear kitty she made me feel d*** and unheard as she proceeded to tell me that what I was explaining to her was not medically possible and she dismissed everything I was trying to share with her. When I told her I wanted a vet I could trust and so I’d like a second opinion on the matter she looked at me and told me I looked like a person who didn’t trust any vets.I proceeded to tell her that was a fair assessment, and that I was here to have her professional opinion not a personal opinion. After going through the appointment, which cost $102, a few more things proceeded to happen that made me decide I would never be back to this place, and simply walked out.Well, this Vet may be good at her job, she is not a people person, and she does not know how to uphold a professional relationship, nor create rapport with her potential clients.I will, from now on be taking all of my business to Platz animal Hospital, who have great customer, service and compassion for both the people that walk in the door and the fuzzies they bring with them.

My car is more comfortable here than other vets as it is strictly a vet for cats & cats only. She doesn't get freaked out by strange dog/bird/hamster/etc. smells

Tried twice to make an appointment to get my 3 cats teeth cleaned. The receptionist was acting very suspicious of why I wanted to being my cats there. I used to live in Grosse point years ago and had taken my cat, Timmy to their clinic. I wanted to take my cats to a dog free clinic as one cat is terrified of barking. I felt that I was being interrogated. I was even asked why I wanted my cats teeth cleaned! They are 10, 6 and 5 yrs old and have never had their teeth cleaned. I thought I was being a responsible pet owner in getting their teeth cleaned. I did not need an appointment within the week or even month. I just wanted to get something set up within the next few months. In the end they decided they did not want my business!!
