In 2013 Management would not kill a bee hive or remove it from apartment balcony. Also when moved in advertised heat included. Management charged me 50 dollars a month for heat. In the apartment there is a thermometer stating how cold or hot. Management does not tell you they set the temperature and control how hot or cold the apartment will be. Also when we moved in the Management gave us a freezer on top of the fridge that had a bad smell stinky. Did they think we would not notice. Never again dealing with these family people that own Slats Management. Be smart don't do it.

As a renter I have had an excellent experience, beautiful very well maintained property, responsive, professional and courteous. Highly recommend!! Additionally I use SLATS Car Washes and have always had a great experience.

Slats has been nothing but incredible for the entirety of mine and my husbands 3 years with them. Amy has been an angel throughout our whole relationship and super flexible by working with us to meet our needs and requests, even going so far as to get us a lease extension. They are very understanding and patient with their renters, I have not one complaint about how they’ve treated us at all. They have been nothing but kind and accommodating. They also have a gem of a maintenance man Derrick who is always very prompt and responsive when something needs fixed. Thanks SLATS for being such a great company!

Due to a life change, I was in need of a rental home, on Grosse Ile. I walked into Slats office, at the time, and met Amy. I explained to her my need, and the situation I found myself in at that time. Amy was overwhelmingly sympathetic and understanding to my situation. She informed me that they had no rentals available, at the moment. So I got back in my car, and was driving around the island, trying to decide what to do. It wasn’t even 30 minutes later, and I got a call from Amy. She had discussed it with her family, who are all part of Slats, and was offering the office that I had just walked into, which by the way was a house, as a rental to me. I can’t express the gratitude I felt at that moment. They moved out of that house, into another building for their office, and made it a home for me.That was 13 years ago! ? They have always been such wonderful landlords. During these 13 years living here, I have had many life challenges, for which they have always been sympathetic, caring and understanding. They have responded quickly and efficiently, every time I have called for anything from a simple, to a major repair on the house. And I can’t say enough good things about their maintenance employees, Jim and Derek. Two great and hard-working guys.If you have found yourself in need of a new place to live, don’t hesitate to contact Slats Enterprises, Inc.I promise you, it won’t feel like the typical rental/landlord relationship. Instead, they go out of their way to make you feel like family….

Me and the wife had a great experience with renting our apartment with Slats Enterprises, the rental process was fast and professional and the apt was clean and ready to move in. Would highly recommend this company for your rental needs.
