“Sweet little market, nice people. We moved here recently, and they were great help with information about the community. They have a little bit of everything in that little store! Hardware, fresh vegetables, and even farm-fresh eggs. The other day I got a dozen duck eggs which was fun! Their greenhouse supplied vegetable plants and flowers for my new pot garden!”

“Friendly folks, but the selection is odd. Produce section is very small, some prices are fairly higher than other local grocery stores. But I do enjoy the convenience of having a hardware store and a grocery store in one.”

“Now here's a store that has everything you need, and the prices are very reasonable. Take all kinds of ways to pay, credit, debit, checks and good old cash. Shop it you'll enjoy the prices and products.”

“Since this market was last reviewed four years ago, from a customer perspective, not much has changed. Yes, there was an ownership change about a year ago that changed the way inventory was tracked that affected existing cashiers, but unless you're an employee, it looks the same. It's still a Shell station with a nice market.Louie's is one of two stores in town with an active deli counter. Their deli counter opens early to serve breakfast casseroles and gravy to folks heading into work. The cold case is always well-stocked with grab and go options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and even desserts. They have a good selection of quality meats, which I personally believe rivals the local supermarket.Louie's has a nicely stocked fresh produce section too.The staff behind the deli counter, cashiers, and even those restocking shelves have always been friendly, courteous, and helpful to me over the years I've been coming here. You might wonder why I give Louise five stars. They may not be a Whole Foods or a high-end specialty store, but those stores are in a different category and comparing Louie's to them wouldn't be fare. On their own merits, Louie's is doing a great job of being a small, clean, well-stocked market with convenient business hours.”

“People complain that no one is immediately at the register when they want to check out, but they will also complain when there is nothing in stock on the shelves if staff decided to just sit at the register waiting for you.Unless you've ever worked in this small of a store before, you will have no idea how hard it is to maintain it. Project after project, stocking, cleaning, running register, and not to mention what management has to do on top of that.Staff in the store keeps quitting because of the lack of empathy given by customers. The day to day job is much harder than most people believe, and currently it is much worse with what has been going on. At this very moment there is only 4 people that work at this location, soon to be only 2 left unless more applications come through. How long do you think this store will remain open with only 2 people to work it? Especially when they have to deal with customers that have absolutely no consideration for the fact that these people are human beings doing the best they can. Plenty of able-bodied people that live in the area that would rather not work, but still complain about the change of hours. Just my two cents.”

“Very glad they put one in! Way better than the Family Dollar. Clean, friendly staff. Although, I will say one of the employees (older women with curly hair and glasses) was kind of rude when my nephew didn't say hi back, she said well ok than real snotty. He is nonverbal Autistic. Perhaps realize some children will not talk or can not talk back. Do not make rude comments, my sister is so nice she did not say anything but that really bothered her. That is all!”

“My 15 yr old son went in to buy a pair of ear buds. It turned out that he was short a few cents. The cashier was very kind and covered the difference for my son.”

“I used to go to this party store when stationed at Wurtsmith AFB from 1986 - 1990. Traveling with my wife recently, and telling her how good this place was, I drove by to see if they were still in business. To my surprise, they were! I ordered a large cheesesteak to go, and it was as good as I remembered, so many years ago. The lady working the grill was very friendly and did an awesome job making my sandwich. Not that I can visit often, but I will be sure to stop by whenever I'm in the area.”

“Talk about an impressive organic and fresh produce section. The selection was awesome. We got kombucha and a few organic items. But I saw a really great gluten free section that I will be shopping the next time we are in town. It was clean and friendly too!”
