The facilities are great and watching people of all ages use them lifts my spirits! The staff is very friendly and professional. I feel lucky to have such a facility nearby!

We joined YMCA this past spring and bounce between this one and SpartanNash. Although this gym is older, we like the relaxed feel. So far we haven't met a huge crowd going in (usually weekday evenings or weekend afternoons). We enjoy the basketball court right by the exercise room and the lap pool. The family locker room is typically clean, and we like the lap pool as it's cooler for after a work out (vs. the family pool which is quite warm and usually more full.) Staff is helpful and friendly!

Great staff. Up to date equipment and an overall nice and clean facility. I will definitely be back. Somewhat of a younger crowd but very respectful and a bonus they really weren’t using the pool ?

This location is smaller than what I'm used to, so it doesn't have as many machines, a track, or separate children's locker room. I found a fully nude screaming boy running around in the women's locker room and realized the family rooms must not exist here. I also had a grumpy old man get mad that I checked my phone between sets and he seems to be a regular here. He made sure to voice his complaints to the staff about it even though I was in a rush to get my workout done so I could go to work. I'm guessing he does that a lot. I prefer the other locations.

Tammy Allen is a very good instructor at the Visser YMCA. I recommend her classes.

Great staff all around and such good equipment to use for your lifting and cardio! They have basketball courts and a pool a hot tub and sauna. Even have Physical Therapy and a daycare! Definitely recommend coming here.

We love all YMCA locations in Grand Rapids but this one is special. It's more low key, has the cleanest facility and the most personal experience. We love the pools at each location but this one offers a smaller setting making lap swimming more accessible and the warm family pool is a hit with our two young boys. We look forward to coming back soon!

First time experience here is so awesome. The equipment were simple to use, lots of space, the basketball court area is great, and the pool room/ steam room were also awesome. This location is really my go to.

Great place to work out! Lots of cardio machines, squat racks and area for stretching/corework/TRX bands. It's also family friendly with lots of events going on for all ages.

Love this location. Go out of my way to come here. My kids absolutely love it also- they ask everyday to come here as if it’s an amusement park or something. Having your kids love a place as much as they love it here should tell you all you need to know. Great friendly staff also.
