It was my first time coming here and I'm glad I did, my fractured his back leg by jumping off my high up bed so I went to my old vet (Byron center animal hospital) and the visit was 300 for the X-rays and the pain meds they gave me so the estimate for surgery was 3,000- 4,000 dollars then 500 to have the pins taken out and I don't have that money lying around so I called around to tons of vets all over and most of them didn't even do one told me if I didn't have the 2,500 dollar surgery today that my dog with have a 50% change of the surgery actually working because I waited a week and a half to get the surgery so a ton of calls later and my patience wearing thin because of all the different things I was being told I called this vet clinic I made an appointment and went there a couple days later and he was 100% honest with me and said I'm not going to lie to you he couldn't need the surgery and estimated me 1,500 dollars for the same surgery and minus the cost to have the pins taken out he even showed me what was happening to my dogs leg with a little dog leg diagram and after I left I actually knew what was wrong with my dog and knew I had options instead of someone pushing me so they can take my money for a surgery that he said "was easy and didn't know why they would charge that much" I was so happy that they aren't one of those places that play on your emotions that you have for your pet and charge you an arm and a leg for things they don't need and extra on the things you do need just because your desperate and don't want to see them hurt or in pain I will never ever go back to Byron center animal hospital because of this pleasant and refreshing experience”
