Worst service department experience I have ever had! I found out I had a bad ball joint and control arm that was worn when I got my oil changed elsewhere on Tuesday. I knew we purchased the extended warranty and verified this was a covered repair . I talked to Glenn in service at Betten Baker Grandville on Wednesday who said he could fix it the following day, Thursday morning. I explained I was leaving for a trip to the UP the following evening and was planning on taking this vehicle. He assured me it would be ready for me to pick up the next day (Thursday) . I dropped the car off Wednesday at 4:30pm. We go over the issue and my needs with Glenn again at this time. Glenn again assured me no worries it would be ready the next day ,Thursday evening and that he would be in touch in the morning after the guys looked it over to confirm the diagnosis and if there were any issues to be addressed the warranty didn’t cover. Thursday at 2pm I had not heard anything so just to be safe I call to confirm it would be ready as we discussed. Glenn informed me the mechanics inspected it earlier that morning and the issue was as we thought however there was a problem because our vehicle was covered under the original manufacturer warranty as well as the extended warranty I purchased separately and Betten Baker Grandville is not authorized to do the work under the manufacturer warranty and that the manufacturer warranty would be the primary due to the mileage and age of my vehicle. He said he found this out this morning but had not had a chance to talk to his supervisor to figure out how to go about this issue and to see if they could somehow get the work approved. They had my car sitting there all day and he had not had a conversation yet at 2pm knowing I was planning to pick up at 4pm, basically in 2 hours from the time I called him. I said this is not acceptable considering they had my car for 22 hours at this point and he knew he had to have my car ready in 2 hours and the work hadn’t been approved to be fixed much less any repair started. He was gonna talk to his supervisor call me right back. At 3pm no call back yet so decided to call him to see where things are at. Glenn tells me they are working on it. At 3:50 he calls and says it’s all fixed and I can pick it up. This was a lot of added stress I didn’t need. This Glenn running the service desk is a joke. The whole service desk area is a disorganized chaotic mess so it’s not surprising that he can’t follow through/up with customers as you would expect out of a service department. In the meantime I did reach out to Betten Baker Lowell where I purchased the car and was assured by my salesman Steve that if Betten Baker in Grandville didn’t come through for me that he would see to it I had a safe vehicle to take on my trip. In summary avoid Betten Baker Grandville and make the drive to Betten Baker Lowell where you won’t have the added stress and chaos of an under achieving service desk that doesn’t know how to provide customer service.

Coopersville buick gave me hell, Todd Wenzel gave me hell. I wish could give 10 stars. I can't thank Glenn from the service department enough. I really can't. He got my tire on for me with no headaches or extra steps. Thank you Glenn. I'll definitely be back for my oil changes!!! Hit Glenn with a raise, he deserves it!

Fantastic service! After searching for cars in person in Northern Michigan where I live, I was becoming discouraged. Everything was too expensive or past the point of drivability. I found my 2018 Buick Encore online and with the help of Eric Ruibal from the Grand Rapids office, I am now driving my dream car. There were so many hoops to jump through from third parties, but they stayed patient and assured me we would handle it. Thank you Eric and Betten Baker for all your help! 10/10 would recommend!

One time these people set me up. I was working there and they demanded that i buff a car that was only painted a few hours ago and the paint wiped off as soon as the air from the buffer hit it. Weird sneaky people i would never do business there.

Betten Baker in Grandville, MI is absolutely the worst body shop to ever go to. I wouldn't even give them one star right now, which is being generous. If you take your vehicle there you will experience one delay after another. For one, dont ever expect to get your vehicle back in any expected time frame. There is just one excuse after another that they will come up with.
First off Harvey indicated that it would only take about 2 weeks to get the parts in and have the repair shop fix and completed with body work as well. Yeah, started out at Thanksgiving in November of 2023. 2.5 months later and there is still issues with the vehile and it not being completed per the attached screen shot. I got the excuse that they couldn't fix a Chevy Tahoe because of "parts" being delayed. It wasn't true because they didn't want to use 3rd party parts and only OEM is what they used.
They blamed it on StateFarm regarding it was their "estimators" fault because they didn't include all the part that were required. This caused another set of parts to be ordered for a 2nd attempt. And after that was done, this also happend a 3rd time when they couldn't get all the parts listed for what was needed. The estimator would only put down exactly what the body shop indicated needed to be included. So it was 100% the body shops fault.
Good luck at trying to call them when you are looking for status updates. I had to get the "Sales" manager involved at the other building because nobody would return my calls. They indicated, "Oh we have been having trouble with our phones." 3 months earlier then that I heard the same excuse from the Service Department as well.
Then they wouldn't even let me pick up the vehicle because they didn't even get paid yet. StateFarm issued two checks over 14 days ago to this location. The body shop indicated that StateFarm sent to the checks to the wrong location and it needed to be sent to Hudsonville. (Totally doesn't make sense as to why this is the case.)
When I went to pick up the vehicle the body shop manager was relly sick, went into the bathroom, then came back out and 150% had a cold and shouldn't be around other people at the time. (Including his own employees for safety.)
Just got the vehicle back today and this is the "quality" of work that is performed there. I would suggest "NEVER" waste your time or money taking your vehicle to this company. You will absolutely regret it.

I have had my truck since nov.2023 6 hrs of having it I needed a new transmission, the manager said I would be getting a new one not a new used one. But I got the new used one instead. I didn't have my truck for 3 weeks. I got it back mid Dec. Beginning of the new year my sensor codes go crazy. All 4 of my 02 sensors are going out and my spark plugs are fouling out. Some to find out they sold me a truck with no catalytic converter I call them and now no one wants to call me back or set.up a time to get it fixed. They promise something and don't follow through. Sophie was a great sales person but work with a bunch of jokers

If we could give a no stars we would. Used sales is fine. Bought a truck drove it home that night, nxt morning drove to work started having transmission issues. Full warranty on truck. Day 2 truck being at service department and no correspondence what so ever. Left voice-mails, left msg with sales. Still nothing. Want to sell vehicles, well how about be professional and sell good used vehicles and take care of your customers. This is how places go under. Very disappointed and irritated. You can have this truck back.

I had an awesome experience here with the purchase of my new car. I had the pleasure of working with Jenny who was super helpful and completely transparent. She made the buying process easy and fun. I would definitely recommend checking them out for your next vehicle.
