Shortly after my last review I received a call from Lanny with Accurate Engines who apologized for not keeping me updated and told me my engine was in production and would hopefully ship next week. I hope this was a sincere phone call and that I can give them a 5 star review when I am finally driving my truck.Thank you for the phone call Lanny

Purchased an engine for resale 07/2023. End of August/2023 customer complained the engine was running rough. Diagnostics showed #6 cyl misfire and low compression. Warranty claim was started. Replaced #6 lifter. engine runs fine. The company rarely answers the warranty line and the voicemail is almost always full. There have been at least 18 emails back and forth on this issue. most of them are unanswered. on 9/7/2023 They resubmit the claim. 10/31 I ask for an update and they resubmit the claim. On 11/08 I called and spoke to Ron about receiving core credits as well as following up on the warranty claim. He asked me to email Steve and copy him. so a new thread was started. I emailed on 11/15 and 11/29 about the claim and refunds, no response. 1/02/2024 I received an email from George stating the issues were just brought to his attention. On 1/10 I received the refunds for the core credits from July 2023. I emailed and thanked him then inquired about the warranty claim again. no response. emailed again on 1/25 and got an answer back on 2/2 saying it was resubmitted. emailed again on 2/9 and 2/12 with no response. Its seems pretty clear they have no intention of honoring this warranty.

You. An see the bad freeze plug and the old timing chain guide on the left versus the new one on the right. In their factory plastic wrap you can see the old timing chain guide.

When we decided to do an engine replacement vs buying a new car I researched all I could. I was concerned at the number of poor reviews for Accurate and found all of the larger companies have the same issues. Imagine building a product and relying on a third party to install it properly. If the third party messes it up, you still wear the results. Replacing an engine in a modern car is complicated choose an installer wisely. In my case i had accurate do the work completely. It took 4 weeks and there was a couple of bugs to work out as expected, but the car runs like new and is a joy. The responsiveness on the part of Accurate was good and complete. They even replaced my power antenna for free. I could not be more pleased.

Dealing with Accurate Engines was an experience and very trying. Not the friendliest bunch Michiganders. But at the end of the whole experience I am 1000% satisfied and my guy Lanny who started the company is Heaven sent and he blessed me in ways I could have never imagined. Ty you ok guy. Absolutely love this guy even if he has no business dealing with customers and complaints, especially after building such a brand and his company to greatness. The company does 10mill a year and this old guy has probably worked 6-7 for 40-50 years. Like he is literally working? Lanny is the man for sure. ACCURATE ENGINES all the way!!!

Customer service is non existent. All calls go to voicemail but the inboxes are full. Won't respond to emails. I have been trying to reach them for 2 weeks. Don"t pay with check or cash you can't get your money back.

I had a great experience with Accurate Engines. I knew it would be a lot to ask them if they could rebuild my Ram 2500 engine within the week and they delivered. They rebuild my engine and had it back in my truck all in four days. And the truck runs great I could not be any happier on how it performs. Don who did the work was very professional and called me before ordering anything extra without my approval first. This place was great I will definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for an engine rebuild. Thanks Accurate engine great experience for sure. Definitely will go back.

POTENTIAL BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!NO ENGINE, NO REFUND!!!!I ordered a engine May 30 2023. Was told it would take about 2 weeks. When told was waiting on a part I said ok. I have been told it was to be shipped a couple times by end of the week. I finally said I wanted a refund after months of a run around. Now I have had to hire a lawyer to sue for a refund. They will not answer phones, email, or mail responses. So I would strongly recommend shopping for an engine somewhere else. November 18, 2023

I’ve been in auto business for over 22 years and I have never had such a issue with getting paid on a warranty claim. We got the engine the motor had a bad lifter we called and they shipped us the parts. All was great until I sent in the labor claim. It’s been 3 months and I can’t get any help from anyone. I’ve called and called and no answer and when someone does pick up I feel like I definitely get the run around. After reading the other reviews I just knew we messed up buying a engine from this company. I don’t know how this company just keeps screwing people over and making a profit. If there is a soul get in touch with me.Well it’s been a week I guess no one has a soul at this place.

*****update 11/1***Accurate engines paid me!And my engine is running well.originally posted my review at 2 stars, but I am changing it to 4. The reason is because, AE has actually been a good company to to do business with. My engine is working well, and I hope it continues to do so.I am frustrated by the fact that I cant get a hold of anyone for my engine core refund. However, I will be patient and wait for them to get a hold of me.I would buy another engine from AE, other than the engine core refund not being sent, they were good to do business with.

My engine was sent back to them on a warranty repair from a previous rebuild, 11 months ago. The Co. refuse to talk to the Better Business Bureau after telling them to tell me to send my motor back & how to do so, & Lied to the Consumer Protection Agency stating" they had my car and removed the engine fixed the problem reinstalled the engine informed me that the situation was resolved and for me to pick my vehicle up "!!? This is so funny considering their in Michigan and I'm in New York "So is my vehicle still sitting in my mechanics yard without an engine in it Waiting for my engine which was still under warranty and supposed to be under warranty to be fixed and sent back that they claim they took out of my car and fixed and put back in.My mechanic is wondering how they got it out of the yard since it is still sitting in the same place he put it after removing the motor himself personally and shipping it from his shop.& I have documentation of the motor being delivered to Accurate Engines, from the Co. who did the delivery .The Co. Has refused to corospond with me the owner of stated engine. So our next step is court!

They took my 4,395.00 and I have no engine and no answers!! Invoice 57301. I ordered a Northstar engine 10 months ago and never received it. I have made multiple phone calls over the months to find out what's going on with my engine. Every time I get someone on the phone, they tell me that some will get back to me and it never happens. The engine is paid for in full and I have nothing. This is beyond unacceptable. They ripped me off. The sales person that I spoke with is Tony and when I was able to get him on the phone, he gave me another number to call and still no results. Stay away from this company. The next step is my attorney.

MY RECOMMENDATION, RUN FAR FAR AWAY, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.I will write a follow up review when the work is completed. To everyone complaining about "Lanny", he is actually Steve Hassell, the owner. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up when they speak to him. I called him on 1/4/2023 10 a.m. about my vehicle. He told me he would call my husband by noon the same day. Here we are 28 hours later and not even crickets back from Lanny. Tony told me last week they ran diagnostics on my engine prior to invoicing me for a brand new one. I still have not seen the diagnostic test from them. For all I know, it could have been a much cheaper fix than $6k new engine. I am trusting they do the right thing and reach out to my husband or I soon. I have emailed, called, and get no information. Very disappointed at this point. Like I said, once the work is complete I will adjust my review accordingly. Also, I notice that Lanny only responds to 4 or 5 star Google reviews.1/9/2023 Lanny called me within 15 minutes of my speaking to Ron. I told him I was not happy with not receiving back any type of communication. He says there is no diagnostic tool that could tell him what exactly happened. Only that the engine had failed. OK, I can sort of live with that. He did offer a full refund if I feel I need to go to another shop. But, at this point, I'm going to give it a go and see what happens. I also told Lanny about the non response from calling and calling on Friday and going into voice mail and not getting returned calls.Again, I will follow up after work is complete to update status. I have changed to a 2 star since he did finally return my call.Soooooo-----I picked up my vehicle. Office staff were not clear on warranty paperwork. Said I had to fill it out, then not fill it out until I receive a letter. Then to keep it active after a year I have to pay $79. And it is transferrable, but not until after six months, then the paperwork says up to six months. Was in communication with Lanny several times a week on status. Kept saying they could drive it up to Cadillac for drop off which would have been great. But when it came time to bring my car up his driver couldn't do it until 3 days after it was ready to go.After getting my vehicle back, they didn't tighten down the transfer case. This caused my transmission to fail completely.Thank God the place I bought the vehicle from worked with me on returning the vehicle and buying a different one. Of course, I was out about $7k above the purchase price but just wanted to be out from under this junk Explorer.I am hoping I never have to use the warranty, because there will be a technicality of some sort and trying to reach their office is IMPOSSIBLE. THEY DO NOT ANSWER PHONES ONCE THE SALE IS MADE.

Update…. I’m 6 into this nightmare. Since my original post I have received 2 engines that are not the right one. I was hoping that my update would be more positive and say how they went above and beyond to make things right. That’s not the case , they have gone ghost on me and are not returning calls or emails.I paid for an engine 4/5/23. I was told I would have it by the end of April. May 1I received email saying it was shipping soon. May 17 I was advised there was a delay but it would ship soon. Today is June 9 and the only person in the entire company that actually seems to care is my Salesman. Ron H.Ron has gone above and beyondto help me get answers every time I’ve tried to get updates. He is the only person I have any contact with there. If I text or email him he responds quickly and wants to do what he can to help.
