We just said goodbye to our kitty cat today. Westwood Hills took impeccable care of our dear boy and ensured he was comfortable and safe during the process. We are so glad we found Westwood Hills for our fur children. They are incredible and truly care!

This is the absolute best place you can take your pets to, if you live in Grand Rapids. I’ve been taking my animals here for years and everyone on staff truly cares about you and your animals. They helped me when I had to put my cat down and helped me with difficult questions I had about my reactive dog. Truly am so happy to have found them!

Brought my cat to Westwood Hills Animal Hospital after a scary visit to the emergency vet. The front desk agent was able to get me in even after a scheduling miscommunication, and the person who initially helped check me and my cat in was very pleasant and helpful. They are the reasons for my 2 stars and they are both welcoming and great at their jobs.
Dr. Aimee Cochell is who helped us. After giving an initial physical, I showed the Dr. a video of my cat showcasing manic behavior that leaves her scared, timid, anxious and aggressive. This is all very outside of her personality and the reason I am concerned.
Dr. Aimee Cochell laughed at my video and said "I'm sorry, thats simply play."
I was very clearly not at the vet because my cat was playing. My cat is not having fun when she is having these episodes and I was dismissed immediately by Dr. Cochell. I have had my cat for 1.5 years and I understand her play patterns. These episodes started a week ago and there is nothing fun about them for either of us.
My suspicions for what is going on with my cat weren't even acknowledged, and the Dr. acted as though she had never even heard of what I was speaking on and brushed it away immediately.
I left Westwood Hills Animal Hospital feeling worse than what I was prior to arrival.
I have since moved over to a new vet and they have already mentioned the syndrome I was suspicious of just by taking the time to listen to me.

When we moved, we had to find a new vet. With a bit of research, we settled on trying Westwood Hills. I'm so very glad that we did. They are very attentive and kind. We never feel rushed and they check our kittos thoroughly. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good vet.

Took my Shihtzu here to get her ears look at my poor babygirl have an double ear infection. The 2 lady's took good care of her. Clean both of her ears and put medicine in her ears that will last for 2 weeks and go back in 2 weeks to do an recheck to make sure everything is okay and the infection is gone or if she need more medicine in her ears.

After getting a second opinion I am even further disappointed w the service i received here.
They do not take accountability for the prices and services their staff discuss w you... and I just had the same operation at Fur wellness on Plainfield for a literal fraction of their estimated... Like were talking a 500$ difference.
The vet at fur wellness also said my cat was not suffering from reabsorption in a tooth. I was so confused as the vet at Westwood said it was bad enough she needed surgery.
I am so happy I moved on from Westwood as it felt like they were overpriced and only care to make profits.
Ps, thanks for the nearly expired Royal canon food ?, try refreshing your stock.
