I needed to return a package. I took the shipping box it came in, the top was opened. I set it on the counter and said I needed to return this. The lady told me I needed to tape it and come back. It wasn’t stated in a friendly way, but not overtly rude either. I know there was a line of people and maybe you weren’t having a great day. But when a customer goes to a place to ship something, it would be nice to get helpful service from a human. The UPS Store and FedEx understand this. I can even bring in just an item, and they’ll pack and ship it for me! You can’t justify requiring the customer to do all of the work so you can just scan the package and be done with them.
2 cents worth of tape lost my business today, as well as my future business for the packages I ship. To the point that if a company I buy from gives me the option, I’ll probably choose FedEx or UPS even if USPS is a little cheaper. I cannot recommend that anyone goes here until they take a note on how to be of service to customers the way their competitors are.
As a customer, if you do go here, I hope you get better service than what I received.

Delivery driver pulled into my lawn, on the wrong side, and walked up to me to hand me my package. I asked him if he normally parks like that at residence offices, he said "Yeah" then walked back and drove off.

Interesting service, I have to drive there because the management won’t make sure drivers are doing their jobs and delivering my packages! I wish I could get a consistent delivery person, it would help my business when I get products on time like paid for.

Everytime I went in there to pick up my mail there was two very rude staff. I went into the post office on Friday to see about my mailbox key and the one lady who was sitting down and eating goes to the back to get my mail which she said I had none and I was requiring about my mail box key and was told it would be done on Saturday by noon go back into the post office to have another staff who was very rude tell me they would call when it's done. And I got mail from two days ago when I went in on Friday February 23 2024 and she said I had no mail. I get all the mail that is delivered is being held to my email.and all my packages I get is also sent to my email. These lady are lazy and very rude. There is one lady that is very nice I will never go into there unless she is working

I think this is a nice post office, and a good place to get stamps. They do seem a little short staffed but that's the new normal for the USPS. I recently came back from some international travels and I'm one of the few people who still send postcards. Postcards I send from USA locations: 100% delivery within a couple of days. Postcards I send from anywhere else in the world: 80% or less within two weeks. Kentwood is a part of the best postal service in the world. But it's also an inefficient government bureaucracy run by Congress and an appointee whose job was to destroy operations. From what I've seen, the people working here on the front lines are nice and competent.

Employee i dealt with was extremely rude. I made a minor mistake on some mail i was trying to send out, so she sent me to the back of a long line twice, when it would of taken like 10 seconds to fix it. And i could tell by her fake, condescending smile she enjoys giving customers a hard time.

There was quite a long line/wait to mail a package. The staff was friendly and helpful though. It isn't the staffs fault that this is a small post office and it fills up quickly.

This is my local postal service depot- visited well over 5 times over the last year or so. Always had excellent help/advice from the workers, they're great!

Terrible customer service and apathetic carriers. I got a notice my package was delivered to the neighborhood mailboxes and put into the package locker. The carrier then put that key inside our mailbox so only the intended person can get it. The key was never put in our box so I never got it. So I filed a Stolen Package complaint. I got a voicemail but when I called back the person who answered pretended they didn’t know anything about it. They said they’d have the carrier go out and check the mailbox for my package. Problem is that almost a month went by between me filing the complaint and someone finally calling me. Use FedEx next time.

Very rude and condescending staff. Had two separate incidents of awful customer service there.If this were any other industry, the extreme low quality of service wouldn’t be tolerated. But at the post office they just ignore it.

I don't know if they intentionally hire the laziest people, or if they get that way working here - but I was basically GRUNTED an answer to my question today (by the "teller"). If they would replace the "tellers" will more of the self service machines - I would give them a five star review!

Twice this summer we put in a hold mail request. First time, mail was not held.This time, mail was held, but not delivered as instructed.How do I get my mail??? I am truly fed up with the post office

I love the staff here, especially Robin. I saw the poor reviews and thought I best balance out the nay-sayers. I've never had a problem at this post office.
