This is my favorite hotel in Grand Rapids- hands down. The staff is wonderful and the management as well. Every time I walk in I see my name on the IHG board ( I LOVE THIS) and it makes me feel like a VIP...so thank you! The breakfast food is top notch and delicious and there is a happy hour 3 days a week with wonderful beverages and dinner food. The amenities like the pool, hot tub and gym are always clean and operational and so fun!!! The rooms are wonderful and if there is an upgrade available, the staff ALWAYS takes care of me and I truly appreciate it. This hotel has a wonderful ambiance as well. I'd like to give a shout out to the staff who took care of us on our recent stay- we got checked in by Lex at the front desk and she was so helpful, friendly and welcoming and also a BIG Thank you to Logan Kejbo ( GM) he was so very attentive to all the details (and always a smile) and made everything that was good- even BETTER! Thank you!!!!

I’m writing a 2nd review because the first one got removed (probably because I called them out for their cleaning staff leaving nasty towels in the closet because they are too lazy to clean it up)
This place was disgusting. The room was dirty, the towels were nasty- front desk staff in the morning were rude and unhelpful. But worst of all… you can’t even accept a review of your terrible service? You have to delete it so no one else see’s your mistake. Sad…. Please people…. Do not stay here… way overpriced for the quality. OH AND DONT FORGET THE SIGN FROM THE CITY OF KENTWOOD DEEMING PART OF THE BUILDING UNSAFE!

My stay at this location was very enjoyable. The young lady at the front desk (Lex) was very nice and extended my stay for 2 hours allowing me to checkout later to attend a graduation party that I was there for. The party didn't start until 2pm and normal check out time is @ 11. Breakfast was good. They had a large variety of items. They provided sausage, eggs (boiled and scrambled), waffles (waffle machine), a variety of fruit and pastries, hot and cold cereal, beverages including juice, milk. The place was clean and quiet. There are several restaurants and businesses in the area close by. I would definitely stay again.

Our stay wasn't great, probably 2.5 stars. It seems like a nice enough hotel and could 3.5 starts on any given day but it missed the mark for us.
The first room we were given had clearly been smoked in so we switched to a smaller room that didn't have the smoke smell... Compensation for the inconvenience or smaller room. The second room was nice but had several small issues. One of the stovetop burners didn't work, the microwave didn't work, the safe didn't work, one garbage can for the entire room (versus one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom) and there while there were pots there was no frying pan. The breakfast was mediocre.
It's several small things that diminished the quality of our stay, however, the kitchen is the reason we stayed there so it's kind of a big deal to us. The manager was nice and came to look at the stovetop which temporarily worked after he left but then stopped again.
Everyone was pleasant but their competitors for a similar stay are doing things much better. We probably wouldn't try Staybridge again unless our normal hotel isn't an option.

This hotel was a hot mess of leaking water in my room, leaking water in the laundry room causing it to be closed, dirty halls and carpets, elevator that didn't work for several days causing all guests to have to carry heavy luggage up and down stairs, pool area that didn't have lounge chairs and mediocre buffets. The management was kind and tried to help, but I am wondering how all these problems got to the point they were.

Staff and location was great.
Toilet didn't flush when I first got there and I had to switch rooms. The renovations aren't pleasant to stay through but I'm sure it'll be better once they're done.

They did not clean since we checked in 5 nights ago, although each front desk staff promised to get the room cleaned but nothing happens . The policy of cleaning is light cleaning Monday to Friday and once a week full cleaning for stays more than 7 nights, our stay is for 15 nights and we did not get the room to be cleaned yet although we keep asking for it daily. This never happened in any other hotel that Stayed in before. I am still here and Mr. Logan who is on the front desk tonight promised that it would be cleaned tomorrow. I am crossing my fingers and hoping for the best !!

The hotel is run-down they didn't provide cleaning service until I called up and ask for it (3 days had passed), its near some good locations such as the airport, stores, a mall, and restaurants.

My stay was amazing. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was so clean a we loved the breakfast options. Sara, the hotel manger, was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. She was a breathe of fresh air and her vibrant spirit made us feel at home. So long as she’s working there we’ll definitely be back!

Sara is beautiful and incredibly amazing at her job. She greeted me and I was thinking she was front desk but she happened to be GM and gave me all the details about the best places to go in GR as it was my first time here. I’ve never met a more kind and personable professional. Recommend 100 times!
