If I could give this Speedway gas station a zero rating, I absolutely would. On 10/14/2024, I had a deeply troubling experience that highlighted an issue I’m growing increasingly frustrated with: racism in customer service.
I entered the store around 5:20 PM or a little later but before 6pm, paid for my gas first so my daughter could pump the gas while I grab some snacks for my daughter and me. When I approached the counter, the same woman behind the register was sitting on a stool and scanned my items. As I counted out my cash in one-dollar bills ($13 total), she made an offensive remark, saying, “Good night at the strip club, I take it.”
Her comment was not only rude but seemed to stem from her assumption based on my race. When I confronted her about the inappropriateness of her comment, explaining that my money was from tips at my restaurant job, she brushed it off by mentioning that her daughters work in restaurants and bring home tips too. I countered by asking if that made them strippers, to which she had no response.
Racism is pervasive, and it seems to find its way into everyday interactions, even at gas stations. It’s disheartening that Speedway would employ someone who makes such judgments about customers based on their appearance.
I hope this feedback prompts a closer look at the hiring practices and training at this location. No one should have to endure this kind of treatment while simply trying to go about their day.

Inaccurate hours, definitely not 24 hrs. Pulled off highway looking for gas at 11:15 PM because Google said it was 24 hrs - they are closed.

They definitely never answer their phones when the sun sets. I work third shift so speedway is the only convenient store I can get to. I promise you, dont make my mistake by making a risky drive here hoping they’ll have what you’re looking for! Could have easily been figured out before I got there but they’ll never communicate with you, they’ll hang the phone up before trying.

The cashier, Karen, was extremely rude. I asked her if she needed me to tell her what kind of taquitos I had. She responded, yes. Then in the middle of me saying what kinds I had, she cuts me off and says, I dont need to know what kind you have. I said, oh I thought you said you did then she says, bye I love you. So she was on the phone. and when i said thank you didnt even get a response. Definitely will drive a little further to different speedway

There’re always closed by 7pm! Went in today for gas and cigs, the doors were locked and employees were still in the building laughing and playing around! I wouldn’t recommend coming here after 7pm I’ll rather go to Johnnys across the street!!

A few years back, they used to be good at keeping breakfast sandwiches & breakfast pizza stocked. Past few years, not so much. Was told recently that they don't even start making the breakfast pizza until 8am although all other locations do. It's annoying especially since this location is right by all these medical facilities && get traffic from all the people who work at these medical facilities... before 8am && there's no other quick breakfast options near by. PSA to anyone who is pregnant & need a quick bite to eat, forget it.

The place was a total mess. The first shift left it not stocked, garbage everywhere and no cups filled. I felt sorry for the second shift walking into that mess.

Can't cash a 50.00 $ scratch ticket I got from your store. Wanted more tickets and some cash back was told to go to store down the street.

Very bad service at this location. I pulled in the parking lot and it was covered in trash. The coolers were basically empty and not stocked. The fella that was supposed to be working was outside working on his car. Once he came in I was able to pay for my purchase. But the clerk made snide comments about me paying with a larger bill in between the times he was picking his nose! Very unprofessional and just disgusting. I went to this location on 7-26-22 about 8pm. I recommend going across the street to the Shell station.
