The worst gate keepers ever! They have a monopoly on who gets housing assistance, meaning even if I know of resources in the community that are helping clients they must go through SA first! When you call them they just say there’s no resources and to call churches. Good luck everyone and check my FB page for all the housing resources in West Michigan we find out about.

I have regularly taken donations to this particular site over the past 2 years. Typically, the folks in the receiving area are very helpful and friendly. Today, I dropped off 6 boxes (some very heavy) and other assorted items/bags. When I asked for a cart the employee at the door seemed very annoyed and reluctantly gave me a cart saying that "the parking lot is really hard on the carts". I loaded as much as I could in the cart and carried the rest to the door piecemeal. I'm not sure that I will donate here again. On the flip side, my husband made a donation to In His Image today and had a wonderful experience. This would be an alternative for anyone looking to donate clothes and kitchen items to the needy.
