I didn’t even have to visit this store to get terrible service. I was looking to sell a piece I have, but also wanted to browse and look for a ring for my self. I get asked what my name is I tell him my name and that I was looking to sell a piece and if they buy jewelry, he says no we don’t buy jewelry. I didn’t even have a chance to say thank you before I get hung up on. Maybe he was having a bad day, sure. But if you’re going to own a store, learn some customer service!!!

Had a great experience picking out the ring. I'm glad I stopped in to give everything a look! On top of that, I can get the ring size adjusted whenever and it's great because my fiance is pregnant and I'm definitely going to have to.

When time came to begin looking at engagement rings I had no clue what to do or where to go. I visited J. Patrick’s to get my ring sized and met Tim. He was incredibly easy and painless to work with. Never did I feel like I was being haggled or scammed, rather, I had a great experience discussing and learning about different types of diamonds and rings. With over 40 years of experience Tim is the man to see for beautiful rings! Guys, save yourself the headache and book a meeting with Tim. (Pictured is a .7 carat oval diamond with 3 smaller diamonds on each side. My fiancé absolutely loves it!)

Our daughter’s wedding band which included inherited stones passed down from 4 generations was beautiful at first. In less than 3 weeks a stone fell out. Tim said it was her fault for snagging it on something and said, “well nothing’s perfect.” He refused to refund money or change the setting without added cost. He repaired the ring but the workmanship is so poor we will have it remade by a different jeweler. We had over looked the fact he misunderstood and used the wrong materials for the rings. But we couldn’t overlook the loss of the stone. Truly a costly and disappointing experience.

I cannot say enough great things about J Patrick Jewelers and Tim Carmody. I went to J Patrick last fall with two custom requests including a re-make of my wife's engagement-wedding set with a larger stone. J Patrick and a Tim impressed me at every step of the process, which was transparent from beginning to end. There was no pressure to buy. There were no hidden fees, nor cost overruns. My wife's new rings are stunning. The certified stone, the craftsmanship and metalwork - it's all exceptional. Equally important, the price was reasonable - 35% less than the quote I got from a popular lakeshore jeweler. Thanks Tim.
