Warm, welcoming, and friendly. A place you wish you didn't need to be, but glad it exists. Grand Rapids is so lucky to have this resource available. When I arrived, the parking was very easy and there was signage pointing me where to go. Upon entering the building, someone was at a desk ready to greet me and show me where to go. I attended the new member grief support meeting. I signed up for my grief support group that night and was able to stay for dinner (free!) and grief group. There are so many resources available - books, yoga, art therapy, music therapy, etc. It is incredible. I look forward to attending more events.

This place offers respite for those enduring a tumultuous period in their life. I cannot stress how invaluable this resource is. I feel blessed to have it so close to home. I'm grateful for my friend for recommending this place. My only regret is not coming sooner.
I came here for the first time tonight, despite feeling very overwhelmed by the idea of group support. I was scared to "wear my heart on my sleeve" and potentionally cry in front of a room full of strangers. That I did, but I've never felt so comfortable doing so. If you need a place to vent, sit quietly, or be invited to share amongst a group of people who empathize with what you're going through, go to Gilda's. I can't wait to return next week.

Gilda’s Club has been an incredible place for me as I navigate a grief journey. I attend the young adults grief support group, and have been a member for about a year and a half now. Gilda’s is one of those places that I hate that I need it, yet so incredibly grateful to have found it. In addition to support group, I’ve attended weekly dinners, and other classes on a variety of topics related to grief.
I can’t say enough about this incredible place. Forever grateful to have this resource so close to home.

Gilda's Club is such an awesome resource to have in Grand Rapids. The offer support groups for grief related instances. They also have many unique workshops available for people of all ages. I have been attending their young adult grief support group for around 5 months now and I really enjoy it. It's extremely helpful to connect with others going through similar situations to you. Their staff is so kind and knowledgeable and I have met some awesome people here! They offer suppers on the same day that they hold support groups that are either cooked by their volunteers or donated from outside groups/people and this has been a great resource as well. Their clubhouse/grounds is amazing! Such an awesome space and I feel lucky that our local chapter has this location and building.
