The Frederik Meijer Gardens are so beautiful and expansive! The atmosphere is calm and inviting, the staff are kind and helpful. If you like art and nature, I highly recommend making a visit! I loved the butterfly exhibit, as well as the carnivorous plant room and the Forest of Dreams exhibit. There are so many cacti to look at in the arid climate room! I can’t wait until it’s warm so I can come back and comfortably explore the sculpture park!

We have been to Fredrick Meijer Gardens many times and have had many wonderful experiences there. The Japanese garden is world class and the art collection punches waaaay above its weight.Overall we are so fortunate that our community has this amazing resource.

The Meijer gardens were cool but must be better in the spring when things are blooming and green. Otherwise it’s very brown and not as pretty, but still a good walk. The butterflies were awesome to see, almost magical!

My daughter and I enjoyed the butterfly exhibit!! The staff is always so friendly and helpful The quails are so cute along with the canaries. Will definitely be going back. The sculptures are very interesting. The handicap parking area is plentyful. The wheelchairs are readily available. I can't wait until the plants outside start blooming. Beautiful outdoor areas

Loved the butterfly exhibit! Very nice place to get out and walk. Sculpture gardens and beautiful Japanese gardens. They also have a restaurant that serves great sandwiches (turkey and curry chicken salad were wonderful). You can also pack a lunch and eat outside if you want. Was not crowded when we went and spent just over three hours. Will definitely come back next time we are in town.

One of my favorite places in/near grand rapids. It's ALWAYS beautiful. Even in the winter there's so much to see and there's always an event going on. The children's garden is a huge hit. And there's so much to see! You could be there for hours and still not see everything.Highly recommend a visit, even if it's just for a single thing. You'll want to come back, guaranteed!

Frederik Meijer Gardens has always been an oasis for me. The butterfly experience has been my biggest draw, but going to the gardens anytime is short of heaven. The variety of plants is endless. The care that is put into keeping everything growing and healthy is strongly apparent. The Japanese gardens are sureal, the childrens garden are fun and educational for kids and parents. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and inviting. The sculptures and other varius art that are distributed throughout the inside and outside grounds are world class, and Leonardo da Vinci's Horse is one of two in the world, the other being in Milan, Italy. On a beautiful spring, summer, and even autumn day, one could spend 6 hours easily wandering the property and enjoying the huge variety of plants, landscapes, art, sculptures, buildings, and architecture that the gardens provide. It is worth a visit once, at least, if not regularly.

The only negative i could say about here is that they don’t have a squished penny machine! ? My girlfriend and i absolutely lovee this place let me tell you what, i have been going here since i was real little and am fortunate enough to live close by. I have the membership and i am constantly surprised and amazed that every time we go, there is something new and different to see. The property is big and they have a lot to offer and see, i would highly recommend going if you can!
