I hate to do this. I take mochi, cookie, Marley, milo, I even took two other dogs I had who has passed there.We have been loyal for years and years.Paid hundreds to thousands, for our pets.My recent visit to urgent care with Mich was one of the worst experience and I will be transferring all my pets to somewhere else.I went in because cookie needed her anal glands expressed and because she had something going on her private area that seemed very painful to her.I ringed the door bell 3 times before a girl decided to open the door … she was sitting at her desk …Then I went into the room and she didn’t even bother to turn on the lights so I did it myself.The technician girl had bad attitude.Mitch came in and expressed the dog again and gave me some wipes for her private area.I brought the dog home and she was not okay. She was acting worse and her area was swollen … more swollen and red. Cookie couldn’t even walk. So I called back.And he said “ she’s fine “And told me to come “ pick up pain meds”I asked him why this wasn’t initiated when I was there because I’m 35 mins away now.He could care less.I was trying to explain to him that something seems off and he just ignored my concerns.Not to mention Mitch didn’t even put what was wrong with her on her records because the person who answered the phone had no idea she had her area checked ….If you can see in the pics, she’s unbelievably red and miserable.And he said to wipe it.It’s unfortunate because I took my other dog in 3-5 times with the same issue and after her throwing up and losing 10 poundsThey finally decided to do ultrasound and x ray.She had cancer and passed away a month later.Shouldn’t take a vet 3-5 times to go do extra steps when I’m coming in for the same damn reason.I go there because I need “ professional” advice and help.Thank family and friends, and Mitch for running the experience!You lost 6 clientsLove Sarah kim.

The absolute best! We have taken our two cats here for years and could not ask for a better vet. Everyone there is always helpful and nice. They are very reasonable with their prices and they always go above and beyond. I feel so lucky to have access to such wonderful care. It means the world to us.

I'll never go anywhere else. We brought our cat, Howard in to be seen for a urinary blockage. The staff did their best to work with our budget but we ultimately had to say goodbye to him.I can't say enough good things about the techs, veterinarian, and receptionist that took care of us. All incredibly compassionate, patient, and gentle. Thank you, Family Friends. You made an incredibly difficult decision a little easier to bare.

Dr Cooper and staff were amazing! They loved on my old man the minute he walked in. She didn't push a bunch of expensive tests. Explained options and honest feedback. She explained all the labs from the other vet & explained what changes I need to be concerned about.

We switched to this vet around 3 years ago and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Extremely reasonable prices, helpful doctors and staff, and private exam rooms all make family friends a top pick for us. You can even call and text pictures to the nurses/doctors which has saved us a visit many times. They even were able to help us find a solution to a cat’s issue that the previous vet ignored. Each exam room is shut off from the others, which makes the experience much less stressful for our cats.

As the human to my four feline overlords, I cannot express how grateful I am to have such a kind and caring veterinary office. All of the staff are helpful and supportive with all of my cats’ needs and issues. I especially love the access to the urgent care facility when needs arise. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

I was quoted a re-check fee over the phone but got charged a regular exam fee in person. Either the vet’s front-end office is poorly run, or I was lied to. The extra few dollars don’t matter, but I value integrity in business, so I probably won’t be going back. I can find other vets who can offer me the same, if not better, service.

After bringing our beloved dog to another vet hospital in the area and finding them to be very unprofessional we brought her here. The staff members were the most friendlest, respectful and compassionate folks.Although the results of our dogs diagnosis was not what we had hoped for they treated us with dignity.I would highly recommend them

I have been to multiple vets in the Grand Rapids area and in the Detroit area, and I have never experienced the amazing service that I get at Family friends. They are extremely understanding, they have an amazing talent to always listen to every need that your dog has, and I’ve never had a bad experience with any of the front desk employees, vet techs, or vets, at family friends. They always go out of their way to make sure my dog vaccination records are up-to-date and that both of my dogs are happy and healthy. One of my favorite parts about them is that every time I’m in for an appointment with my younger dog they always ask about my older dog and check in on how she’s doing highly recommend this place I would never go anywhere else with my dogs.

Incredibly caring and responsive! I always feel like they listen to my concerns and questions without making me feel rushed or judged. They are an integral part of my pet care team.
